According to ESPN 5-on-5, we'll buying and I like that:

    2. Buyers or Sellers: Houston Rockets

Highkin: Buyers. Jeremy Lin and James Harden have looked more comfortable playing together lately, and it would be very easy for GM Daryl Morey to package any number of their young prospects -- Terrence Jones, Donatas Motiejunas, Patrick Patterson, Marcus Morris or Chandler Parsons -- for another impact player to propel them into the playoff picture.

Hopkins: Buyers. Houston is 16-12 with the youngest team in the NBA. Jeremy Lin and James Harden still need a little more time to find themselves. This is not a team you would want to blow up and rebuild. Make a few adjustments here and there, and watch them grow.

Schmidt: Buyers. There's little evidence that indicates the Rockets are going to be either. They seem pretty content letting the youngest team in the NBA continue to play together, learn each other, strengthen its chemistry and develop defensively. But considering their early-season success, if the Rockets will do anything, it's buy.

Soriano: Buyers. With a foundation of talented young players and a star in James Harden, the Rockets are primed to make a playoff push this season with the proper roster adjustments. If the right deal presents itself, they'd be wise to add to their core to continue to build a roster that can make some noise this postseason.

Windhorst: Buyers. The Rockets have been waiting three years to get themselves to this level and they're not stopping now. However, they most likely won't do a big deal. One, they have 12 players who make $3 million or less, making a significant trade tough. Second, they have cap space next summer they may want to save.

With Love's value at an all time low right now I'd want a trade centered around Love with Asik and one of the our PF prospects as the prize.

    http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=crucyd4

so basically love for Asik (center), Tjones(prospect SF), Ppat (stopgap) and D-Mo (PF prospect). I had to add Dmo in the deal just so we won't have to deal Parsons lol. Of course it would also include some picks since any superstar trade has to include a pick.

    Why Minny does:
Upgrades the frontcourt considerably, Peks would become the backup C and Ppat could start instantly since he's familiar with the Adelman RnR system.

    Why we do it:

    New lineup is

    Greg Smith/Cole Aldrich
    Love/MM
    Parsons/CD
    Harden/Cook
    Lin/TD

Seems comparable to the current OKC to me.

I honestly see us doing moves like going after chicagos rip hamiltion because they face lux tax(further taking advantage of such teams) for another assett like either mirotic(not sure) or theyre 1st(likely top20 protected...

    http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=cx92345

We could trade them machado/morris for butler/rip/top20-protected 1st

Gets them out of lux tax hell and a young scorer in morris as well as a cheap player in machado while avoiding penalties...

Gets us a nice vet presence for a playoff run, a role player in butler, and an extra assett for moaray...

trade royce white plus one or two second round pick to minny for derrick williams.

i dont care how much potential WOF say he has, dude isnt doing anything right now. a trade like this will save minny a lot of money(which i think they wanted to do since last season)

Delfino, Morris, White, 2nd round pick & $(1/2 of White's buyout)
    ...FOR...
    Terrence Ross and Linas Kleiza

I know it is way early for them to trade Ross BUT they would get a nice return on him with Delifino plays better then him NOW; Morris plays better than him NOW and will just get BETTER in time (he is what they wanted in Kleiza); MAYBE this is the new start that White needs for his FUTURE - their team has a lot of scoring power they just need a way to tie together he could be their ANSWER. They signed DeMar DeRozan for 5years and he playing well. We take on some dead wieght in Kleiza but he was able to shoot at one time.

how about harden to okc for durant, 1st round pick and ibaka?
why okc does it: true superstar with high efficiency in Harden.

why the rockets do it : durant takes on the scoring role but get back a legit 4.

    Asik/ibaka/durant/delfino/lin

(still can't believe we have Harden!! it's almost 2013 and I have to pinch myself)

3 team trade between Rockets, 6ers, Hawks

    Rockets Get J Smoove
Rockets trade: Greg Smith, Carlos Delfino, Toney Douglas

    76ers Get:Delfino, Smith, Douglas
    76ers trade: Bynum

    Hawks Get: Andrew Bynum
    Hawks trade: J Smoove

    Reasoning:

Rockets get the upgrade at PF to create one of the best starting 5 in basketball

Hawks get the true center they've wanted to move Horford down PF

76ers released from Bynums no show season (bowling reasons) and get deeper in key positions

We will need more to trade for durant and ibaka. And besides, why would we want to trade harden?

So basically.....a combination of Delfino, Greg Smith, and Toney Douglass is equivalent to Andrew Bynum or Josh Smith....

    LOL

I like the idea, but the Rockets would probably have to give Parsons rather than Delfino, and throw in some picks. I just don't see how Douglas, Delfino, Smith = JSmoove or Bynum
