I don't see why the Pistons of all teams would give anything good for Cousins. They seem to have a monster big duo going forward.

Forget Cousins. It's time to spring the Chuck Wagon from Sacramento.

Asik/Hayes frontline = Dynasty (ok, not really but it would be awesome)

I'd love to see Hayes back home.

Trade Patterson and a 2nd rounder for him.

We need the defense bad and Hayes could train Smith.

    Frontcourt:

    P.F. - Morris / Hayes
    ..C. - Asik / Smith

Of course this won't happen. Kings are high on Hayes. He was just mentioned by the coach in a recent article as his best player (in so many words).

Reinstated, not with the team(tonight anyways).

    From SacTown Royalty:

    [rquoter]
In announcing the suspension Saturday, Smart had said he and Petrie were setting a standard for behavior. By Monday morning, no one in the organization seemed to be taking responsibility for the reinstatement, and it wasn't clear when Cousins might return to action.

"He's been reinstated, yes," Smart said after Monday's practice. "That doesn't mean he's playing right away, but he's back around the team and came back (Monday), apologized to the team and to me as well, and we'll just move forward."

In announcing Cousins' reinstatement, the team issued a press release without attributing the decision to Smart, Petrie or the Maloofs, which is not the norm.
    [/rquoter]

Smart and Geoff Petrie collaborated on the initial punishment. No one is responsible for ending that punishment much earlier than seemingly all observers thought was appropriate. It's amazing, innit?

Clearly, Smart isn't responsible for lifting it. That warning that Cousins might be back but not playing is a signal, I think, that the coach isn't on board with bringing D.M.C. out of the corner just yet. We'll see Wednesday night when the starting lineups are announced and when the bench unit comes in. My assumption, based on those quotes, is that Cousins isn't playing Wednesday so long as the Kings are competitive. But we'll see.

What an absolute cluster**** of an organization. No other way to put it. From the arena situation, to coaches(Adelman, Musselman, Theus, Westphal, Smart), to just running the team. No fit, no function, no organization with that team. Wow. D-Y-S-F-U-N-C-T-I-O-N-A-L.

would love to see the chuck wagon back in red but I dont think the Rockets will want him back with the contract he has right now as it would hamper any flexibility they have this coming trade deadline or offseason.

though if Morey somehow swung a Hayes+cousins deal -- thats a diff story then

I think the Hornets should show some interest in Cousins. They could be really dangerous if both Davis and Cousins get anywhere near their potential.

    Trade machine deal (Hou-NO-Sac)

With Hornet's first (top-7 protected through 2016) and NY 2nd rders (from Hou) going to the Kings

Hayes was the best at he outlet pass and that would fit in with the style of play but he would be a liability at end of games with his fee throw. Not to mention he wouldn't be able to keep the pace we have going. But I would love to see him back in Houston.

    Plus:

He is around the age the rest of our team is and already has shown flashes of his huge upside.
He is not expected to be the man. Has a hall of fame Center coach to learn from and work behind Asik. HARDEN n LIN are arguably the leaders of this team.
The kings are nowhere near as respected for its history and STAR centers as houston is.
He can play the grind it out halfcourt game we will need in the playoffs.
His stock is low right now. This guy could possibly be the best center in the league with a cpl years of maturation. He has the most upside of any center playing in the nba as of right now.

DO IT MOREY!!! DO IT NOW! Trade ppat , white, n donuts
