Do you realize Kobe is old and on the decline? In the NBA your past accolades mean nothing. If it did, MJ would still be playing.

I think this back. I just looked up Kobe's stats and for some reason he's hitting career highs in efficiency, he's currently averaging 0.594 TS%, and this despite that awful 36 for 41 shooting game. WTF is wrong with this guy, he's a monster lol.

There is no comparison going on. I'm stating the fact that Harden is a much better fit for that team.

Harden's a better passer, transition player, and less selfish. Harden draws fouls on the other team's bigs each game, so much so that it would be nice to have a big-time post prescense to take advantage of hesitant defending big men.

Howard and Gasol need more touches, and a teammate who won't live shooting 30 jumpshots off balance. Kobe is much better than Harden, or was for that matter, but not for that teams system with the bigs they have.

Kobe has always had turnover issues, but so does Harden (they average the same number of TOs).

As far as defense goes, there aren't many good 2 guards in this league.

Are you telling me Kobe's free throw attempts per game this season is less than their Championship years 09 and 10? If like you said he used to get all the super star calls but not anymore, he must have earned all those calls this season which makes him even better. :)

Kobe is balling like nuts right now at 34. He will probably keep this up and have one of his best year this late in his career. Sadly, it will probably be all downhill from there. Usually a player in his prime will have steady production, then one last peak that tops it all followed by a huge drop off in production until they retire.

the part I don't get is he was raised by NBA family, lived in italy, seemingly good situation, he plays in NBA, makes decent coin ..yet the guy is human garbage.

I would like to attribute it to some reason why he is such a b**** but there really isn't one. I have more respect for dog SH**it.

WTH are you talking about? Harden would not make the Lakers better..the Lakers have deeper issues than Kobe Bryant..There is no comparison because Kobe is better than Harden. Their record would be worse with Harden and this is a dumb thread

You fail to realize this team has Dwight Howard/Pau Gasol. Two players who can dominate from the inside. There's a reason this teams record is not where it should be. How can a player get in the flow of the game, without getting the ball.

No ones comparing Harden and Kobe. Kobe is the better player, but not for that system/team. First round exit.

Dwight Howard himself said he not 100%..have you seen him play this year? he also misses a million freethrows...Gasol is clearly declining..The Lakers two best players have been Kobe and Artest..Howard has been inconsistent and its understandable he had back surgery. But to say Harden would make them better is just not right...If Dwight made his freethrows they could have 3 or 4 more wins

Gasol is not declining. He is not getting the ball. Kobe jacks up 41 shots to get 30 points. You have not been watching the Lakers apparently because you would know Dwight is frustrated by his lack of touches. A player like Harden who draws fouls will just soften up the other teams bigs while scoring as many points on less shots. Your wrong.

You act like he jacks up 41 shots every game...obviously your not watching the games...Dwight would get more touches if he could stop being a liability at the freethrow line and Gasol is declining..i watch the lakers play Kobe is not the problem

Harden is the best SG in the NBA to me and he is better than Kobe, but replacing and having them switch roles and seeing who is better when they do doesn't determine who is actually better.

Kobe's problem is the fact that he plays no defense and doesn't do anything to contribute to the game other than scoring these days. It has been like that since 2010 actually. Even if Kobe wants to play defense, he really can't. He has lost the ability completely.

I don't think Kobe is a good leader either since he always calls out his teammates, bosses them around, and threatens them. Jordan was the same way by the way and I don't like him as a leader either.

The only leader that I would want is Magic Johnson.

He's shooting 51percent, better than some of his previous years. Taking three less shots a game(as well as Pau). Kobe won rings with a dominant post presence who couldn't shoot free throws at one point.

As for Harden, he averages 26 to Kobes 30 on 5 less shots while averaging more free throws per game. Last year the lakers played their best ball when Bynum was given control of the offense, not Kobe.

He did help win them 5 guys as one of their top 2 players everytime. He is also historically good in many areas, both in individual and team achievements Here in clutchfans, we wouldn't call him out either had he done that for us. Hakeem got us 2 rings and no one would dare say anything other than he was the best center of all time. Imagine what it would be like if he had brought us 5.

And this coming from a Kobe hater for the way he rapes women and ball hogs to his team's detriment.
