Yes, I agree. I think the whole team was tired though, Asik couldn't catch and could barely jump. Supposedly, their plane didn't leave till 4am, at least, that's what I heard.

Many people on this board wants klove but I believe we are going to loss asik and parsons for that trade. I really don't think love is worth it

 

Agreed. I think we would almost certainly lose both Asik & Parsons in a trade for Love and we'll become a worst team for it (at least short-term).

 

Deck - great stuff, I've also watched all 4 and damn they are fun to watch and sure it is small sample size but good to see Harden and Lin can work together, what is interesting if Parsons output shot wise has dropped which has coincided with Lin picking it up.

Lin and Harden's dribble penetration is just putting opposition on the back foot, especially as they are breaking NBA protocols and attacking basket early in the offense.

the team's ability to board make the quick and often long outlet and get the ball to the foul line extended is breathtaking, they are constantly getting it there in 5 secondsish and then they just attack

the D still needs alot of work, but by scoring so well they putting off the other team, but they do seem to be protecting the paint better.

love what Asik is doing he is a beast on the boards and finishing better, what has also been a big improvement if Kevin making sure Asik is in the small ball line-up, without him cant play any D.

If we look at the stats put up by the team during any 4 blowout wins, my guess is that they are very likely to be unsustainable. Otherwise, the team would be blowing teams out all the time and on its way to win 70 games. The good thing, as last night showed, is that these numbers don't have to be sustainable for the team to win. They can be a lot less hot and still beat a decent Minny teams on the road in the 2nd Half of a back to back.

 

cant agree more...it was an ugly win at minny, but it was so sweet because the team struggled yet they somehow managed to walk away with a win.

Sounds like he is a ways off then. I missed a lot of the early games when he was getting minutes.

But I do drool at the prospect of having two 7 footers in the game at the same time. That would definitely shore up our interior D potentially.

 

I think KLove's lack of jump shooting skill is a reason to give pause on acquiring him. We need players who can space out the interior and give Lin/Harden room to penetrate. If KLove can't shoot 45% from 15 feet out, his man is going to collapse in on the drives.

 

Great stat analysis. I keep hoping Donuts gets a bit more time on the court to develop, as he, more than any other PF prospect we have (PPat, Morris, Jones, White) is the one I see as the possible difference maker on the court. Even if you look at his defensive shortcomings, none of the other PFs offer enough of a defensive improvement to counter what Donuts *could* offer offensively.

re: Greg Smith. Like Donuts, I want to see more Smith time on the court at both the C and PF positions. And in Smith's case, he has earned it.

What I am most concerned about is conditioning. While Harden looks like one of those players that can play forever, he is playing an awful lot of minutes (by necessity). Backup SG and SF is a concern for this team.

More worrisome is Asik's conditioning. He already appears stronger and in better condition than when he started the seasons, but he has played way more minutes this year than in the past, and he doesn't look like someone that is in the best of condition. He often looks tired. Hopefully Smith, and possibly Donuts, and even Aldrich in blowouts can get the big guy more rest through the season.
