GS 2 PG's were 21 for 42 from the field and scored 49 pts. Nash scored 12. http://www.cbssports.com/nba/gametracker/boxscore/NBA_20121222_LAL@GS
True enough, but Nash was HUGE in controlling the tempo of the game down the stretch. Both teams ran fast breaks on opponent misses, but Nash was smart enough to slow down the game and create in a half court situations in the late 4th and OT. Once the Lakers can play that inside-out/pick and roll basketball, no team can match their firepower. I love watching Nash and Kobe play together. No nonsense, all determination.
Lol remember when he went after da scorin title hard as hell last year, then when he knew durant was gonna win it, he "conceded" to durant. Since he knew his team wasnt gonna win ****, he goes after personal awards.
can you guys believe that this is at Golden State? <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/4qEwDxiyVjA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I told you guys Nash was their only hope to have some leadership pulling the team together. Now we have to hope the Nash's old age is finally catching up on him.
D'antoni will ride him too hard, he played him 40+ in his first game back. No way a 40 year old man can take that every night.
Nash....is just ridiculous. The guy is going to be a fossil in a couple of years but he is still so damn effective.
Not to derail things to make it about Jeremy Lin (who cares about the Lakers anyway though jk) Jeremy Lin isnt all that but no one cared that he was trying to be more a tempo controlling cerebral point guard to start the reason, his expectations are to drop 25 and hand out at least 8 dimes every other game. While for Nash the facilitating is cited as a strength, that he'd factor in the games in OTHER ways at the EXPENSE of his own scoring. Of course its Steve Nash, its what he does. And Lin's strength really is to score first. But just like how AstroRocket pointed out the juxtaposition of Kobe's chuck heavy scoring to Harden's efficient scoring, its the contrast of Lin's developing game with Nash's steady hand.
Why did Kobe take the tech with Nash on the court? It's not like Nash is the all time free throw percentage leader, oh wait actually he is....
I just saw their game against the Knicks and what a difference Nash makes. They seemed calm the entire game, even though they were down for most of it. And Kobe actually deferred to Nash for some stuff? Crazy... If they're all healthy, they're going to be really scary.
Kobe needs to win the scoring title to prove that he's on MJ's level. BTW, the LA radio is raving about the Pau dunk at the end. Nash had the gut to pass it to Pau and not Kobe.
But you and Aleron are dead wrong https://twitter.com/KevinDing/status/283694060613541888 Nash wasnt even on the floor stop embarrasing yourself with the irrational Kobe hate
I watched the ending of a terrible game...The Lakers are old and are gonna get exposed by every young athletic team. This was the wrong coach for this team. Nash in Jackson's scheme might be unstoppable...Triangle with Nash, Kobe, and Pau with Howard cleaning up the misses...but this team is too old. Cant play defense and will continue to be this terrible.. They need an influx of youth in the worst way... BUT WHO CARES...
Kobe 40 pts 13/24 That should = win. However...or should I say Pau-ever, Laker bigs need to play some D and get defensive rebounds. Lakers are good if big get 10+ reb. Anything under is unacceptable. MWP isn't going to play well every game. Also, Denver just had one of those nights. One last thing. Kenneth Faried wouldn't have been **** ten years ago..Just goes to show how lethargic and soft this league has become.
