You could tell they were tired and lacked focus. Luckily we have a superstar and enough talent around him to win against a decent team even when we're having an off night.

Yea thanks, I watch every game.

There is a difference between "playing well" and hitting shots. The Rockets were playing well, but shots weren't falling.

The exception to that were the point guards, who were not playing well.

They turned the ball over 16 times. It was ugly, man, there is no question... too many bad passes and failed catches and overall ugly play.

    Ugly win's still a win.

No kidding. About midway through the 4th, it seemed like we couldn't score and the T-Wolves kept a 6 point lead. Then Harden took over. He draws a couple of fouls and makes 4 free throws in a row, then hits a 3, then a 2, Jeremy nails a 2, then James scores the last 6 Rockets points to close out a close game. Just unreal. What, 17 points in the 4th? Anyone who says this guy isn't a superstar evolving in front of our eyes just has to be blind.

I missed the game. Sounds like a gritty win.

The calls started going our way midway through the 3rd quarter. Harden really sealed the game up.

I knew we had the game for the taking when Luke Ridnour missed those three shots in a row. That was the game, right there.

Half of those turnovers weren't Lin's fault, but Asik's or the refs'.

Asik's screens for Harden made all the difference. He treated Rubio like a rag doll.

One of these days, Jeremy Lin is going to cost us a game by stepping on the 3 point line.

1st q passes to Asik were very difficult catches, especially for a guy with bad hands.

It is Lin's fault when he should've known better than to make those types of passes to butter-fingers Asik. He's not Greg Smith. You have to give Asik baby passes.

This was a great game for several reasons:
    1. Good coaching by taking out Lin and Harden for a breather and then bringing them back to finish the game. The bench brought momentum back and the starters were able to close the game. I was glad the coaches brought Lin back to redeem himself. This proves that the coaches have faith in him...which is going to be very beneficial for the Rockets.
    2. Just seeing the bumping going on with Harden with Parsons and Lin says it all. This type of close wins will definitely mean a lot of things for the team.
    3. That the bench is actually not that bad.

Overall, this was a totally team effort by everyone to pull of this win. Harden was money down the stretch...and Lin, as stated, redeemed himself with the crucial bucket and defense. I believe the announcer stated that the attendance was record breaking.....doesn't surprise me how the Rockerts is playing, along with Lin and Harden in the house. This game reminds me so much of the Knicks game last year.....nail biter for sure!

I agree. I think they need to mix in more offensive sets. Normally when they run them good stuff tends to follow. The ISO ball is too predictable and easy to defend. They need more off the ball screens. I can't stand when one person has the ball trying to go one-on-one and the other four are just standing around in cement. That's putting too much pressure on the person with the ball.

Until Lin can pull down 20 rebounds a game, I suggest you quit hating on Asik. Seems you like to hate on Asik for messing up Lin's assist stats, but you don't like to give him credit for being our one and only rebounding/shot-blocking beast in the paint, or when he grabs and puts back Lin's missed shots. :/

I'm only saying this to you b/c I see you and a couple other people doing it all the time. The other players are not there to pad Lin's stats or get him wins so his fans can brag. Try to show some respect if you want any back.

Lin was better off putting the shot up under those circumstances. Even if he missed, Asik was in pretty good position to get the rebound.

You lucky devil for being able to see the game in person. I got back into Austin in time to see the game on LP, having seen last night's game on ESPN while enjoying Christmas in Houston with family. Good times! Five in a row!
