You may have bad memory. Easy enough because the memory can be accessed from a door on the bottom of the laptop. It should have one screw. Take one stick out, try again. If that doesn't work put the first one back in and take the second one out. Memory is dirt cheap now. Just search your make/model number on Google and/or just search the make/model number of the memory you pulled out.
Sorry, forgot to mention it was already done twice, but it didn't work. Thanks, will have them try this.
Scanned it and nothing was found. Any other suggestions? I'm almost sure it's the update that Linksys suggested. It probably wasn't compatible with Vista and screwed something up. However, i'm not sure how to go about deleting it. The restore didn't work and the window updates page won't open.
