Why do you want more Lin threads when that one is a perfectly adequate and efficient way of discussing all things Lin related?

Why do you view it as a competition vs Harden threads?

he relies too much on the refs. glad to see the article mention this. it looks so easy now, but when the calls dont come, what happens then? he needs to develop a bread and butter mid range for those games where the refs are against you. shooting well never goes out of style...

Exactly because Harden is played as a main facilitator on this team. That's why many say it's better Lin takes the facilitating role and set up Harden and assist Harden to score more.

When Harden was on OKC with Westbrook on the court at the same time, Westerbrook was facilitating most of the time and Harden played off the ball. That's why a lot of Harden's points last year were assisted. Of course, Durant and Westbrook commanding double teams helps Harden to get open more thus much easier to score a lot. But it's not like Rockets's all other 4 players are not being guarded at all and the opposing team players are all on Harden's back that he will never gets open. Setting some screens and our players constantly move on the court could all help Harden to get open. It's not all about get more talent around Harden (although that would sure help), it's more about the coaching stuff designing plays to get Harden open more and assisted more.

Saying he relies on the ref is saying he is completely ineffective if refs do not make calls for him. That simply isn't true, while he may struggle, he is still a deadly shooter when left open and one of the best playmakers around.

Also, Harden gets fouled. Those foul call he gets aren't "gifted" to him, the way he moves his arm and raises it over his head makes it extremely easy to foul him. For Harden, it's no longer a case of refs not calling fouls, but refs missing the calls.

This isn't like K-Mart where he jumps into his opponent, or attempts to whack his own arm into the defender's, or a "foul or miss" situation. What Harden does is simply make it extremely easy to get fouled.

    Bottomline, Harden gets fouled.

we need to be careful , Harden is like a poweful drug. As much as I am in awe of his powers. The coaches have a tendency to misuse and abuse his powers.

Until Lin can get defenders to respect his outside shot, his facilitating ability will always be hindered. As I said, why would any defender double off of Harden for anyone else on this team? If Lin can get to the paint at will, then sure. But Lin hasn't shown the ability to do that on a consistent basis.

Typically, fouled miss = 2 FT attempts. Meaning, possessions spent at the FT line = .50xFT attempts
But someone has calculated that ~12% of these FT attempts come from 'and 1s' and techs. No possessions are wasted in these situations. So 0.50 turns into 0.44.

I agree with the second part. I would say the same about the LOH hating Lin -- who 110% agree is a upstanding person who plays hard for the team. You guys hating Lin not only need to "get a freakin life", you need to quit watching basketball. I suggest ballet.

Who is hating on Lin here?

Why does every single thread have to be related to Lin somehow?
