Read my post carefully. I said neither Lin nor Damian are top 5 scoring PG's neither have played in enough games to warrant that type of pedigree. Nonetheless I would take both Lin & Dame over Brandon any day if I wanted a a scoring PG on my team. Brandon can score but he is inefficient at it, & I refuse to celebrate inefficiency. Same with Carmelo, he can score in more ways than KD but he is inefficient at it so I would take Kevin Durant over him any day. Also to be a scoring PG there are two requirements, being able to score & still being able to run an offense (the PG part). Brandon has shown for years that he cannot do the latter half at all. Lin & Dame in there small samples have shown they can.

And I posted what Calvin Murphy says that the reason that bother were able to be aggressive together is because they were both finally playing there natural position, Harden the SG & Lin the pg Fans will believe what they want to believe, Sampson or Calvin Murphy.

Looking at Brandon's & Lin's numbers on Synergy they are both quite identical to be frank. Jennings has the lower FG% than Lin but the higher 3FG%. Jennings is averaging more points but he is also taking more shots to get there. In isolaton Jennings is slightly better than Lin, as the PNR ball handler Lin is slightly better than Jennings. As the spot up shooter Lin is much better than brandon. Overall Brandon scores 0.86ppp Lin scores 0.83ppp & this is with Lin taking 7 fewer shots than Brandon.

LOL If you are going to mock LOF's go right ahead but try to be realistic in your expectations. 15-20 points & 10+ assists is MVP numbers. No LOF has said this ever so to be frank you deserve the most mocking for this nonsense.

    Wow, Sampson can talk.

Lin was talking to the media after that game in Toronto that he was still trying to feel comfortable in the system. I guess Lin just flat out lied to the media because according to Samspon in this interview, there was never a new system. Lin simply decided by himself to create a system which he was not comfortable in.

In all fairness to Sampson, I probably would say the same stuff if I was asked by the Chinese media who care very much about Lin's situation and his performance. I would say it's all because Lin was deferring himself, nothing to do with us coaching. ;)

McHale is a players coach, is Sampson too? Somebody posted the Sampson video the other day, he sure can be intimidating.

the blazers are still in my nightmare . Actually Batum (blocks and 3 pointers) was the one which opened the game to allow Lillard to go beast on us. Thoughout that game he was quite until the 4th and OT. If Lillard was treated the same way as Jlin during that Sampson coaching days. He would have been benched and we would have never seen his comeback.

Anyway , lets wait for the next blazers rockets game to bring yer statement to light. This Rockets Post - Knicks MSG is a different team now in the way it's run.

Difference between Lillard and Lin is that Lillard can shoot from the outside and plus he's a pure scorer. Lin is more like Rajon Rondo... Can pass and create but streaky from the outside.

Actually yeah, you're right - I agree. The sample size is too small. Jeremy Lin can't be said to be a Top 5 scoring PG just yet.

    no **** sherlocks

anyways, Lin does everything else pretty well too. a lot of guards can't even rebound, defend, or block shots.

I don't know about Lin being a top 5 point guard but you can't look at the whole season to make that determination. You have to look at when he started playing point guard for the rockets....that was what? 3 games ago. I think you make those judgements at the end of the year but since he became the PH on the rockets they have playing pretty well. Ad Lin is averaging what 17 points and 9 assists in those 3 games. If that continues he would be a top 5 point guard. Time will tell

True that - the way Lin is playing right now he is definitely a top 5 PG

I think he is...it's just not that. Under 2.5 turnovers and he's stealing the ball and he plays d....and his game is going to improve. I used to be a knicks fan...big mistake to let Lin go.....old fat slow guys up there. Ad they are falling apart. I want them to pay

I really like this rockets team. They share the ball and run the court. This team is pretty good and over looked, well at least for now

Lin can definitely achieve 8+ assists though - tons of botched easy baskets that woudl have added to his assist total

    right on bro! he isn't a top 5 scoring pg, he's a top 3 scoring pg! j/k

actually, i would say he's easily a top 10 PG. but i wouldn't be upset if someone were to say he's a top 5 PG. a pg shouldn't be the top scorer on the team but Lin shows that he can absolutely go off for 38pts any given night. a PG should be a master at setting his team up. Lin does this, plus he does everything else well.

While I'm a Lin fan first, he is not quite top 5. There's a lot of other guards I would take first over Lin at this moment. However give him some time. Only in his 2nd year essentially - and once he develops a jump shot he's gonna be super deadly. I worry about his body though...
