I think I'm going to cave too. At least they have the 30 day full refund period. I'm sorry for being weak, but the Rockets are like an afterthought for me nowadays and that's not good.

Due to the NHL lockout, a recent poll shows that 58% of Canadians do not care if the NHL comes back. This goes to show that if you crap on the fan base long enough, you will start to lose them.

Les and Jim ought to pay attention to this.

It wasn't that one sentence. It was that one sentence after all the nanny nanny boo boo, what's the big deal, why are you hitting yourself/stop hitting yourself posts in this thread. Always followed by oh, did that offend you? I'm so sorry. Now let me do it again.

    You're an agitator.

And though I'm not posting what I post for this purpose (and never do) people are saying way worse things about you than I am when they rep me for it. The most commonly used word is "douche." Don't think it's just me that's offended by what you've posted here.

    Have a happy holiday anyway.

I am quoting you because of the reference to "what's the big deal." I have recently come to the conclusion that this is not a big deal. It may be one to me again soon, but Refgal had to undergo testing for cancer this week. It came out negative, but it put is and other things in perspective.

This is not a big deal. This is a business problem. Like any other business that craps all over me, I simply will not patronize that business. That goes for both the Rockets and the Astros. When they decide that making sure we can enjoy their product, I will resume patronage. Until then, I am not buying tickets, jerseys, beer mugs...nothing for either of those teams.

Screw them...there are too many more important things to worry about.

Am I to assume that similar to the NBA TV games, that the Rockets ESPN game on Christmas will be blacked out or will I be able to watch the team actually play on TV for the first time in several months?

Anytime ESPN or TNT carry a game it won't be blacked out.

The one person I don't blame here is Jim Crane. This was all Les and Drayton, this deal was basically done by the time Jim was in the picture. In fact, I think our only hope of getting a deal done is Jim stepping in and forcing something to get done in late March. He needs something positive for the fan base with the state of the team and so many being upset over the move to the AL, neither of which are his fault either.

    Thanks man.

Let's just say that the whole scare has put a lot of things in perspective for me.

I had a biopsy, an X-ray, and an MRI this last year, all because of suspected cancer: mouth, breast, and brain. All clean. I didn't actually worry over any of them, but if my girlfriend had had a scare I'd have been a basket case. I'm very glad for you both.
