I actually wasn't questioning if he did a eurostep, more if he did it twice. A replay of a Eurostep is not doing it twice.
Watched the highlight. Man that was a good game. He scored in so many ways in that game. I'm wondering whether we can see it again in toyota center. Hopefully when his knee is 100%, everything will come around.
"Hopefully when his knee is 100%". They said. That ship has long sailed, stop making excuses. He's playing fine.
Well, he said in an interview a few days ago that his knee is not 100% yet and he still couldn't do some moves that he was able to do last season.
True that. Also has had to change his shot because of the knee. I think that everything we have seen unfold this season, from Jeremy's lack of aggression, to the coaches apparent lack of use of Jeremy has to do with the health of his knee.
Last time I checked, Lin doesn't use the hypercondriac card, he owned up to his terrible start to the season. You simply dont average 33 minutes per game with an injury.
Here is an interview clip. Coach S spook about Lin. It was so weird. The clip is from Chinese web. http://sports.163.com/12/1224/09/8JFRCT3R00051CA1.html
This is a good example of simplistic thinking. Minutes per game does not directly correlate with injury status. Does it have to all be 100% or 0%? It's probably ALL true: 1) Lin is healthy enough to do fine. 2) He is nearly, but not a 100% 3) He is getting healthier as time goes 4) There is still some evidence of the knee not being 100% (Lin checked his knee after an awkward landing a couple games ago, him saying that he still can't do some moves). It is not all or none. He is fine, but we do know that these kinds of injuries when you're demanding pro level athletic movement, that it may take time. For some players, they're never the same afterward.
So, one year ago today, Jeremy was cut by the Rockets. If someone had tried to imagine the story of this past year for Jeremy as it actually unfolded.....well, they just wouldn't...Truly an incredible year, an incredible journey...
it's a good interview... sampson saying some things we didn't hear before (lin deferring to james, james asking for the ball so he can take it over the half court). then again, he said some stupid stuff - as lin becomes more aggressive they'll run some plays for him. mentioned toney hitting 5 threes in the 4th quarter against philly "it's hard to take toney out when he's playing so well", yet how many times they benched lin when he played well and better than TD? and what about jeremy's first two games, did he just randomly decide to start playing SG and camp out in the corner? it has nothing to do with coaching? lol a coach who's just blaming a player for everything is not a good coach.
Jeremy's story is one of the main reasons why people are rooting for his him. Life has so many twists and turns.
yea i sense so much bs in that interview. sounds like Sampson felt the pressure from the type of questions he was being asked. and he probably knew all of China would be listening.
yeah, firing some guy - and then having him come back to work so hard to win games for you, who does that?? no one ever gives second chances like this. most would be disgruntled
re Harden asking for the ball - Lin deferred, sacrificing his own game, and avoiding conflict with the max player. I'm sure it frustrated Lin much more than it frustrated us but I think he did the right thing AND I admire him more for that.
