Funny seeing the juxtaposition in one night between Harden scoring 31 pts on 13 shots in 3 quarters and Kobe scoring 34 pts on 41 shots with overtime.
Nash was awesome. The guy knew exactly when to pass, when to shoot. He handled the ball and made decisions majority of time while Kobe played off ball. McHale should learn and adopt more of MDA system to let Lin handle the ball and let Harden shoot the ball more like Nash and Kobe. I also hope Lin learn to shoot that pull up jumper like Nash.
the fact of the matter is, kobe get 81 pts with 46 shots. James harden is nothing, kobe is HOF. you compare kobe with Jame Harden this way? that's funny. kobe's 34, how old is harden? and James harden will never have the right to take 41 shots, while kobe can.
Their season basically started last night, in a gutsy road win over a Warriors team that has been playing well. League on notice.
Derek Fisher - waived by Dallas at his own request. Just wants to rejoin the Lakes? Kobe has NEVER won a ring without Fish.
Kobe was adamant that he'd be shooting MORE when Nash came back, less focus on facilitating more on scoring But DOUBLE his season average in shot attempts MORE might be a bit much
The Lakers have the pieces to be a good team, but an inefficient chucker is holding them back. You saw this last night when they erased the big lead with chuckbe on the bench by playing team ball and inspired defense. Then when chuckbe came back in, they almost blew it. Even in OT you could see Nash say '**** it' and take the shot himself because he knew that if it went out to chuckbe, it was likely just going to be another wasted possession. There is no way this team is going anywhere unless Antoni can reign in this overrated ballhog and let his team actually use the pieces they have.
Don't worry. As long as Kobe thinks he has a good chance to win the scoring title, he'll take 20-25 shots/game. With Nash back, maybe he'll up that to 25+. Friday night was a good start.
