offense didn't show up today.. defense did their part imo.. can't wait to hear the "we need to look ourselves in the mirror as a group" line
Ratings aside, I guess Fox made the right decision to show the Cowboys game in Austin instead of the utterly gutless Texans. Ugh. I cut off the First Row Sports stream at halftime b/c I was disgusted with Houston's anemic offense. Now we have to win next week in order to secure the #1 seed. I don't want the Texans to go to Denver or especially New England for a playoff game. I would have much preferred we beat the Vikings today so that we could possibly rest some players next week.
This team has come plummeting back to middle of the road at best. Every question mark we've had is being answered negatively. Schaub, Kubiak, the secondary, the o-line, Foster and the linebackers: if anybody has anything positive to say about who I just listed I'd like to hear it. They'll be fortunate win in their first game, anyone with fantasies of winning against Denver or New England is delusional at this point.
Well, on the bright side, they don't need to rest next week anyways since they decided to take this game off instead.
Texans one and done in playoffs. Kubiak not a championship coach, Schaub not a championship QB. Oh well, GO ROCKETS! (Rox always will be my number 1 team. Houston pro football teams let you down every time.)
The Texans sure aren't championship caliber after the way they have played the second half of the season.
Team has completely crapped the bed in 2 of the last 3 weeks. Houston fans by nature are skittish and wary of impending collapses and disappointments. But the way this team is playing doesn't instill much confidence in the fan base moving into the playoffs. You'd think that would be hard to say about a 12-13 win team, but the Texans have managed to do it. The upside is that we lost our last 3 regular season games last year and it didn't seem to affect us in the playoffs. And the Giants had a less than great regular season, losing 5 of 6 towards the end, and managed to still win the Super Bowl.
Mark Berman @MarkBermanFox26 Gary Kubiak said Arian Foster had an irregular heartbeat but is fine. Said Foster was taken out as a precaution. Said Foster has had that B4 Gary Kubiak said at one point he was told Foster was okay but held him out as a precaution
I don't know if the Texans have the intangibles to make a Super Bowl run. Eli Manning is elite/borderline elite QB who is capable of getting hot and taking a team on his back. Don't see that in Schaub. I'm getting tired of the Texans coming out not prepared to play, which is on the coaches, Kubiak especially. I wish the Texans played with the passion of Watt. The Texans are not good front runners. They had the look of a team today that thought they could just show up and win and ended up getting embarrassed by inferior team. Pretenders.
