Schaub has receded this past year but unfortunatly is still the best option out there.... Defense can't put pressure on third downs...hate to think Cushing made that much of a difference but I guess he did

 

Defense needs to get back to forcing turnovers.

Yea I know he is.. But he is one man on a defense of 11.... But clearly he looks to make the difference

 

Cushing covers up a ton of mistakes by the LB's and secondary... they can still be a hellraising defense without him, but they have less margin for error. That is what great players do.

 

Not happy with the defensive scheme to open the game. We're begging for them to break off some huge plays. ILBs open the game playing like crap. Not sure what the point was in bringing in Routt if we were going to let Harris go out and make costly learning curve mistakes anyway.

Offense should pick things up, but Wade needs to adjust the way he's facing this team. You've got to have safety help against this team - stacking the box hasn't worked all that well for anyone this year.
