Dan Fegan clients include Kevin Martin (traded), Courtney Lee (traded), Rafer Alston (traded), Scott Machado (D-League) and Dwight Howard (avoided the Rockets like the plague). Good luck!
But KMart was happy when he first got here. I don't think his agent influenced him to be upset after he got traded to New Orleans(then sent back.). Machado could've signed in a few other places but he chose Houston. So at least there's hope.
KMart = Happy and in a good home Courtney = Got nice contract out of S&T Rafer = Went to NBA Finals after trade Machado = Lucky to have an NBA job
I honestly think the Kings want to avoid trading with the Rockets right now. So far they'v received Landry and Greene from the Rockets for Martin (who turned into Harden) and Artest. Hayes didn't pan out too well for them and neither did Head or T-Will (I shouldn't be mentioning these two). Brooks has been decent for them. I digress, I think they want to trade Cousins (once the fifth pick in a draft that had John Wall and not much else) for a legit star or a low lottery draft pick. Morey should let this thing ride out and wait until he hears the Kings are getting serious about trading Cousins. I'm sure they will do their due diligence and give the Rockets a call to see what they have on the table. Until then letting this thing ride out is probably for the best. All we can offer them is cheap, young role players like Patterson, Morris, Parsons and Jones. We do have some young guys with potential, but when a guy like Cousins is on the table you don't start the offer with the players I've mentioned. All of our picks (whatever we have left) should be part of the deal. It comes down to are they interested in Asik, is anyone else offering anything and do they just want to straight up dump him. If they do, I like the idea of starting Cousins and Asik.
What is wrong with him? Even though he's a great talented big man, the baggage that comes along with him isn't worth it. A lot of fans doesn't realized this but this types of things really affects teammates as well as chemistry. But again, its Keith Smart and the Kings players are not on the same boat as him. This types of issues usually happens with a poorly run organization, bad coaching, too much youth and not enough good influence, and also immaturity. Cousins seem to be immature year after year and it does not look like he will mature anytime soon.
i say trade for him, i see potential under mchale. guy has talent. dont offer much. str8 morey lowball sacramento, they're a mess.
Sean Elliot is a jack hole. He ran his mouth about someone else running their mouth. What did Cousins do to him in the locker room? I can't find anything.
You can count the number of young bigs with equal or higher potential on one hand. I say we have to take the risk. 22 years old. 16.6 pts 9.5 reb 6'11" 270 lbs
Your post lacks any context whatsoever though. 18 pts on 41% shooting, if Greg Smith took that many attempts with his 0.677 TS% he'd score 24 pts a game. Sure he gets 11 rebs a game but then again he's playing with clank city, his pg is Aaron Brrooks, his sg is Tyreke Evans and then he himself is shooting 41%...that's a lot of rebs due to missed shots. Not only that, he's playing with a 6'6 PF...Hayes is an elite 1-on-1 defender but he's not known as a rebounding machine. I'm not saying Cousins isn't talented because he is, and obviously if he becomes mature and works on his game he could be a franchise player. But he won't get an epiphany just because he's traded, just like with Z-Bo it might take almost a decade before he comes to his senses. If he gets traded to a team like the Spurs or OKC then yeah, there's a higher chance of him reaching his potential. But we don't have alpha dogs who beat you up if you slack around like OKC, and we don't have a coach like Pops who will put the fear of god into you while simultaneously making you feel loved. Mchale is a great speaker but he seems to rub some players the wrong way like Lowry and KM, and as seen with Royce White debacle he can't seem to reach knuckle heads. So no, I wouldn't advocate trading for him, much less giving up Parsons and or Asik. We have Greg Smith who is younger than Cousins, scoring better than Cousins, and isn't a head case like Cousins to develop and mold as our C of the future. He may not be as talented as Cousins, but he also won't bust out like Cousins, he'll cost cheaper, and he won't mind sharing time with Asik, who at 26 years old is only 4 years older than Cousins.
very interesting its hard to see chandler go but you have to give to get... I would even throw in a draft pick to seal the deal Asik/Cousins Cousins/Patterson/Smith Morris/ Harden/ Lin/Douglas
I'd give up Patterson without hesitation if it means keeping Parsons. If the Kings are that desperate to trade Cousins, we could give them a package that centers around Patterson and D-Mo. Cousins would start at the 4.
How are they going to pay him? They didn't go into the luxury tax for Harden so I don't see why they would do it for Cousins.
His usage would rise and likely his efficiency would drop. Headcase, we'll see. Webber, Rasheed, Z-bo, Artest were all once 'headcases' put them in the right organization and coach and they become great players
