His efficiency has dropped compared to last season. Turnover rate is roughyl the same, but shooting percentages are down.

PER is not a pure efficiency stat.

It is because fans threatened him with Scott "The Answer" Machado so he knew he had to step his game up.

TD's 3pt percentage is 0.443 which is 12th in the league though!

I think he shoots a better % from 3 than on layups!

His layups are nasty, he has no hops!

Maybe that's why they play well together!

funny thing though is i can remember people were talking about how they hope we tank the season. now they are looking like a team no one would want to face in the 1st round. hope it keeps steady.

i am thinking they are bringing machado in because it's hard to keep this pace up for a full nba season. so hopefully if coach mac can have 3 guards who can run it means less wear and tear for all.

Not only a win but a blowout!? Gotdang, Rockets really spoiled me this X-mas :p

Great things happen when Jeremy stays aggressive, he needs to keep it up.
Greg is doing his darnest to turn me into a Greg Only Fan.
Carlos 'Magic' Delfino was killing it all over the place.
    Harden gonna Harden.
Toney, Chandler, Omer ..just everyone contributed in every little way to get the win, I really couldn't be prouder of them.

That's 3 blowout wins in a row from the youngest team in the NBA that JUST started clicking. Where are the haters that said this would be the worst team in the league?

i purposely didn't watch the 1st 1/2 hour because i didn't want to put myself through the feeling i get when the rockets come out flat or played the way they were playing before this last stretch of games, it was nerve racking.

when i saw them up by like 13 against the grizz i couldn't believe it.

i really enjoyed watching the game. i'm sure the grizz fans were hating it though

d-league is on break until Jan, so I wouldn't be surprised if they brought Machado in for practices and to bond with the team. I mean, they pretty much brought everyone along to attend Sasha's funeral. And I think I remember Machado saying it'd be great to spend xmas with the guys.

I must disagree with you because the rockets will no longer go under .500 . They are a team! Everyone is stepping up when someone else is having a bad day.

The ROCKETS have officially taken off. Pun intended.

Serious question... was "sanity" a common game thread term before the arrival of Lin?
    i.e Beardsanity, Smithsanity, Douglasanity..

It seems like it's time to just use Rocketsanity with the way the whole team has been playing.

In theory, I think the lowest points the starting backcourt can go at this point is 25~30... but they've both shown a tendency to start assisting once that happens. So in theory, so long as no more than 2 of Parsons, Delfino, Douglas, Morris, and Smith are cold during the same game, the Rockets probably still have a good chance of getting over 100 points.

Or basically, so long as no more than 4 players in the rotation don't all have a horrible game at the same time, the Rockets should be able to get a win so long as they bring effort in D. I don't think there's many teams that can beat the Rockets at 4 positions... and hopefully flu season is over.

So you may be right? Only time will tell.

I was re-watching the garbage time just now... our rookies, though a bit nervous, did quite well... There may yet be a future for Machado and D-mo.. Funny thing is, having TD with them in the last 4 mins, seemed re-assuring... and the best thing, they kept the margin.. We may not have Lillard, the rookies gonna be developing in the hard old-fashioned way...

if you can't see the potential greatness in JL now, you don't know basketball, period. he'll be around, and if you're a rocket fan you may as well cheer for him with all your heart.

d-mo will eventually get good run. cole aldrich is nothing. machado is tiny, but he can be a serviceable backup someday. where was TJOnes tonight??
