lin was camping at the corner 3 all the time, and if i remember right he still had a solid game, almost led the team to a win

Yea, Harden and Lin had 7 assist and 9 turnovers between the both of them when they played Memphis the firt time. But that was 5 games into the season with no training camp or pre-season with Harden. The past few games they've been doing much better in the turnover department and Lin has been more aggressive.

I dig the excuses, but Memphis' defense has gotten better since then, not worse. This team is playing out of their minds right now. It's going to take a lot of effort and some really standout games from players like Parsons and Smith for the Rockets to win. I hope the Rockets DO win, obviously, but eh....Memphis. Memphis is a heavy hitter in the Conference.

^this , I wished everyone would realize that and stop complaining and expecting more , and give the team time to develop chemistry and become even better

Can't be because of the way he's been playing in D League, he's been struggling. Maybe b/c RGVs next game isn't until the 29th?

Better than the dog ate my homework.

The Rockets offense has gotten better too. #2 in the NBA in scoring. The Rockets are also a better rebounding team than Memphis as well and out rebounded them the last time. And Mr Tony (Im On Fire) Douglas didn't play that game either.

Houston scores a lot, but gives up just as many points themselves:

    scoring: 104.8
    opponents' scoring: 103.7
    point differential: 1.1

Basically the definition of an average, .500 team.

They need to keep their turnovers down and defensive intensity up to stand a chance. Good character building game either way.

Hopefully that buzzer-beater will go to Parsons because He did not do well for the last few games. We need another 30+ point game from Parsons again.

Last time I checked the object of the game is to score more points than the opposing team. And a win is a win rather by a 1 point differential or 10 (and Memphis only scored 93 points against them not 103).

But young they may be _ This is a good team with a battle tested playoff super star in Harden. I think you are highly underestimating the potential of this team. Yes they have a average record but to be number 2 in scoring and 6 in rebounding with 5 new players in the rotation (9 if you count Jones, D-Mo, Cook, Aldrich) is a good indication that this is a better than average team.

You were supposed to notice how negligible the point differential was, not go AHA 1 POINT YOU SEE? A WIN! In fact, last week it was literally the same. There was no difference between the points scored by the Rockets and the points they gave up. And I'm not sure what the idea is, saying Memphis scored 93 points on them in a game when the Rockets themselves scored just 85 in a loss to the Grizzlies. That's sort of the "point" of point differential stats. ;)

Uh, what? Battle tested playoff stars? Underestimating the potential of this team? Slow your roll, homey. We're just talking about the Rockets prospects of beating this one team, this one night. How the Rockets perform 3 months from now is another issue.

Hmm, the odds makers say 105-100, Memphis wins.

Harden is a battle tested playoff star. And being able to beat Memphis tonight is exactly what I'm talking about.

The Grizz are on a back-to-back game, plus their offense has been pretty sh1tty lately. We could win this game if we can limit their offensive rebounds.

And your riding that point differential stat a lil too hard dude. One of the most meaningless stats in the NBA. Please tell me how many games the Rockets have won by one point...

It is in games/matchups like these that I really wish the rockets would use him off the ball more than they do. If he has the ball in his hands a lot, he will most likely have a long and frustrating night.
