    Horrible for Wolves, even worse for Lakers.

    Lakers give up Pau, okay. But they do it to get Calderon, you realize Nash is back this week and they would still have no good PF after that?

    Just been hearing the lakers are trying to trade for another PG. It's good for the lakers, salary cap wise. I was gonna throw in more pick to the wolves from houston, but I don't know where we stand draft pick wise.

    add a 2014 unprotected 1st and a couple 2nd round picks at least may have to pull in another team

    Terrence Jones, Pattrick Patterson, and Daequan Cook for Paul Milsap works.

    Of course they'd probably want a pick added but I'd start off with something like this.

    Or you could just keep everything and sign him as a free agent in the Summer....

    Very disbalanced (in Rockets and Raptors favor).

    Kevin Love is no longer on the trading block. He apologized for his comments and said he is committed the T-Wolves.

    Josh Smith is the most versatile power forward in the East. Prolly the second best PF next to Bosh in the conference.

    J.Smith to Houston

    Royce White, T.Jones, PPat, Cook and Aldrich to Atlanta

    Seems fair to me?

    Sure we would trade him now BUT we would not get any / much value back. He is tradeable just not very valued at a the moment. In time his value will level out.

    Quite a bit...

    Its tough for us because we would have to find a third team who would want parsons because youd have to start with him... also add asik to portland prolly ppat and a prospect or two (t.jones/morris/dmo)... hopefully get a goood pick for parsons and send picks of ours as well...

    I really don't understand the J.Smoove fanaticism on this board. He is good but I'm not even sure about the fit on this team and his BBall IQ is not that great.

    That being said, for the right price I would take him with the caveat he would resign over here.

    Suggested three-way:

    Anderson Varejao and filler (e.g., Kevin Jones, Samardo Samuels) to Houston;

    Donatas Motiejunas, Royce White, 2013 Bulls first round pick, $2 mil cash (from Houston), and Richard Hamilton (basically an expiring contract; can be bought out for $1 mil in 2013-14, and he will be) to Cleveland;

    $1 mil cash (from Houston) and "draft pick considerations" (i.e., nothing) to Chicago

    Chicago avoids the 2012-13 luxury tax by making this trade. They have to give up their 2013 first round pick, though. That pick gets re-routed to Cleveland.

    Cleveland gets a first round pick from Chicago and a couple of good prospects from Houston. Cleveland buys out Hamilton this summer and will have a large amount of cap space in the summer of 2013. Houston can execute this trade because it has quite a bit of unused cap space to play around with.

    Houston gets a stud big man playing at an All-Star level, and they give up nothing special in order to get him. You have to think that Houston is a playoff team in 2012-13 after making this move. Varejao is yet another asset that has been stockpiled by Daryl Morey. Who knows, maybe this makes Omer Asik expendable. Asik has been very productive this season, he's young, and he's very affordable.

    I also think that Varejao gets paid about the same as Paul Millsap is getting paid this season, so another option here would be to turn this into a four-team trade, wherein Varejao gets shipped to Utah and Paul Millsap winds up in a Rockets uniform. This probably makes more sense for the Rockets.

    For those who would say "We don't need Varejao" or "We don't need Millsap"... give me a break. These guys are both excellent players. Any team gets better by adding either player. And Houston's starting PF is who? Marcus Morris? Or Patrick Patterson, when he gets back? Please.
