MadMax noticed in the gun thread, and I'm noticing it here. You are making strawman arguments to support your positions. No one is suggesting what you're sarcastically saying here, just as no one was suggesting what you sarcastically stated in the gun thread. You're using a logical fallacy to argue your point, and that tactic is only effective if your entire audience is uneducated, or already agrees with everything you're saying. This is not an effective debate tactic. Please read up on it below:
, he continued... getting further and further away from addressing any of the points that were brought up refuting his argument.
It would be a strawman if I were misrepresenting your opinions in order to attack them, but I'm not. That is my opinion, and it is well reasoned. Fox News is dangerous. Would you care to argue that?
Read up a bit, and read some of his other posts. He stated that it's his opinion that the Federal Government should start a news station and take Fox News off the air. That's not his opinion. Unfortunately, he's missing the point of satire - satire is effective because it involves truth. His faux-opinion is probably only representative of a tiny fraction of those who identify themselves as democrats. Similar to the fraction of self-identified republicans who are obsessed with the idea of the free market and will constantly attest to how it extends "liberty." It's a tired, and sad tactic. He's overinflating what his ilk would call the "nanny state" and presenting it like it's the only other available option. So, basically, in his world we either accept Fox News as it is and don't complain, or we live under a repressive bureaucratic government. There's no in between. Afterward, he disingenuously tried to act as if he really believes that the Federal Government should have a news organization and then ban Fox News.
Look, yet again ATW declares victory for himself when he doesn't feel like debating anymore...color me surprised!
Sorry, politics notwithstanding this guy sounds like a loser who just doesn't take account for his own actions.
