Can't say I'm not surprised. Fear and hate mongering are their niche!

Wait, let me get this straight. Someone who was caught in the act of committing a crime blamed someone else for their actions to try to defer blame? WHAT IS THIS MADNESS?!

For every Fox News there is an MSNBC. Stop deflecting blame and start taking responsibilities for your own freaking actions.

Except he pled guilty. I don't think he was trying to defer the blame...

As has been pointed out, he's pled guilty and is taking responsibility for his actions. It isn't saying that Fox News made him do it, he's saying they inspired him.

What if he is a liberal criminal mastermind and blaming Fox News was his masterplan to bring down "fair and balanced", makes you think doesn't it?

He didn't blame Fox News for what he did. He just said his only information about Muslims he ever knew was what he saw from Fox News and heard on the radio.

This means his view of Muslims was modeled after what he was feed by them. Reading is fundamental.

Wait, the thread was about fox then you bring up msnbc then talk about deflecting the blame? Please tell me you see the irony in that. Do you feel that Fox or any new organization can held accountable for other peoples actions? If so, what would that be?

Great point. MSNBC is not the equivalent of FOX News. Only FOX has argued in court their right to outright lie to the public. MSNBC is biased but has not tried to protect their right to lie to the public.

So are you guys saying Fox News is bad because someone who committed a criminal act says he was inspired by Fox News?

FOX News is bad because the provide a lot of misinformation to people. This guy is an example of that. Not terribly complicated.

    So, according to your logic:

Criminal says Fox News inspired him -> Fox News = bad

Let me apply your logic to Al Qaeda terrorists:

Al Qaeda terrorist says Quran inspired him -> Quran = ?!?!?!?!

I think that we can call agree that hateful propaganda in any type of form, media, billboards, radio, paper, etc, creates a possibility of harm.

We are saying that it is irresponsible and spreading fear, and hate.

Do you think that's bad? I do.

That's your logic, not mine. As I specifically said, this was simply an example of what we already know about FOX News. That's basically the opposite of the example you gave. Do you even think about what you write?

Fox News, as well as the way that some extremists use the Quran, but not the Quran itself.

    Apples and oranges.

The Quran is a book an Fox News is (supposedly) a NEWS organization.
