Podcast at Rocket.com with Jason Friedman and Craig Ackerman. Should be interesting with Morey involved.

And for those asking: no Rocketscast Live today, but we'll make up for it tmrw when we're joined by @dmorey. Went live 15minutes ago: http://www.nba.com/rockets/news/rocketscast-live-ask-gm Morey said they'd like to keep most of the players on the team and let grow together. Likes pretty much all the the players on team. Doesn't think they'll be (nearly) as active trade-wise going forward. Said it's likely they'll use their cap room to add more assets (taking on a contract or two). Won't spend big money on guys that will improve the team some (6th-7th seed-ish), but not significantly. Said the issue with Patterson is mainly pain and how to prevent it going forward. Said he may be to simply be able to continue playing. Best case may be rest. A more "invasive" approach may also be an option.
Sorry for that crap of a sentence at the end there. Obviously meant to say "[Patterson] may be able to simply continue playing." Morey will also be on http://www.espn929.com with Chris Vernon at 12:25.
@JasonCFriedman Also still looking for LOCAL winner for 4 tix to tonight's game. First to answer gets 'em: Name NBA player who was Morey's fave as a kid. Tweet Jason if you live in Houston and want some free tickets. Hint: Daryl is from Cleveland
Sean Pendergast nails it in this article http://blogs.houstonpress.com/hairballs/2012/12/daryl_morey_fires_off_a_kurkji.php
Since you knew the answer, why didn't you get yourself the tickets? You are the employee of the Rockets or you have the season ticket? Or maybe you are Jason himself.
Probably because he's not in the Houston area currently. I sent Jason Friedman the correct answer ~20 minutes before anybody else, thinking I might just give away the tickets to some of you guys, but I didn't qualify not being in the Houston area myself. Jason Friedman obviously has no love for the foreign Rockets fans or Clutchfans. Clearly a FRFOH & COH. Also a cynical & jaded adult who can't be pleased by anything.
Awesome Rocketscast Live. Watched it twice. Especially loved Morey talking about sticked with current core, and Jason's final words talking about Jeremy Lin.
Funny how Sean rips Morey for massaging the stats, and then does the same thing himself. Damon Stoudamire, an Allstar? Really?
One notable part: Morey surprised Friedman when he said he would be open to pursuing a Camby type trade this year and said it worked out well since not only was Camby a good player but they got 2 2nd round picks for him. I wonder who this season's "Camby" might be.
