I'm sick of this doomsday vs AP talk. It's bull****. We are a better team and defense than we are giving ourselves credit for -- yes we've given up some rushing yards recently but we've tightened up when needed. Need I remind you that we have given up 3 RUSHING TDs all year and the longest run against us is 28 yards. Wade's defense has always given some leeway on rushing to prevent big plays but it tightens up in the red zone. That's what I fully expect this week -- they'll probably kick 5 field goals but our offense will get the job done and score enough TDs to win.
Score early and the game is pretty much over. +1 to this. I hate that asshat. Another reason to get up early is letting Tate and Arian keep Schaub out of danger from that slack-jawed, mullet-having, mouthbreather.
JJ Watt was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week. That's the second time he's won DPOTW. That goes along with his DPOTM award for Sept. Congrats to him, well deserved.
I hope AP kills it for my team again!! Up by 5 points in my championship fantasy league game and need to win for that cash money!
I hope he pulls a hamstring on his first carry after getting tackled for a loss of 10 yards by JJ Watt. Good luck with your fantasy team, though, Dork.
Well played y'all! I should've written "They need to make it a shoot out and not a defensive battle." As far as Schaub's mobility I am just relating what I heard on the sports radio here. This is the first year I've been able to see more than 2 Texans games on TV so I really don't know how mobile Schaub was before now.
I for one think the Texans are going to win this one handily. AP is going to get his, but he won't score TDs. I'm predicting a big day from Watt and Mercilus. Also AJ and Foster. Texans: 31 Vikings: 13
I wanna see them complete what they failed to do last year...earn a bye and finish strong. Win this one you lock up home field and the bye. Get it done now and then rest your starters. Vikings 2-5 on the road, Texans lead in just about every statistical category except for rushing. Only thing that concerns me, outside of AP, is they're playing for a playoff spot.
True. But they are not at home. Texans know get it done here and they dont have to worry about winning a road game at Indy.
Which can be a good and bad thing. I really don't think everyone needs to be sitting week 17. Schaub (as risky as it is) should play for at least a half. AJ and Foster sitting are understandable, especially Foster. Defensively I think those guys resting is fine, it's the offense I'm worried about. Too much time off can get you out of sync, and you just can't open up a playoff game that way. Hell, just looking at last year with the best team in the regular season, the Packers, had trouble scoring and Rodgers was not himself... probably likely due to the time off. I understand the risks of an injury for a game that doesn't mean anything, but at the same time, I want them to play at their best in the playoffs.
So were the Colts last week, and that had no bearing on the game. We are better than the Vikings, and we SHOULD take care of business. Now, obviously, the only thing left is for the actual game to be played.
