Maybe you missed where The Answer averages almost twice as many assists as Lin did during his only significant D-league run. That's the difference you get with a TRUE POINT GUARD.

Machado isn't known for his scoring. Except for a few games here and there this season, neither is Lin. Machado's specialty is getting the ball to his teammates consistently every game. Lin is not consistent in any one category.

Look at THIS way Lin = undrafted rookie, inconsistent, explode occasionally at the scale of Linsanity Machado = undrafted rookie, will be inconsistent, and highly unlikely explode occasionally at the scale of Linsanity case closed.
That's a load of crap and you know it. Lin is averaging 6 assists per game, and anyone who watches the game would argue Lin is a good passer. How you managed to assume Machado is better than Lin at setting up players, I have no idea. By your logic Hasheem Thabeet is better than Greg Smith because he consistently warms the bench whereas Smith doesn't excel in any one area.
