This. New England exposed the lack of firepower the passing games has if a team can neutralize AJ. With the defense struggling, with guys like Brady, Manning, possibly Roethlisberger and Dalton in the playoffs, the Texans needs to be able to score.
I was glad to see him gettin pt as well, we drafted him in the 3rd for a reason and he does have talent. Walter could have been sick, a lil banged up, or maybe just needed a lil rest but there's no doubt he's still #2 when playoffs come around. Good for Posey's confidence though.
Yup...Im pretty excited about him now. I know Kubiak has been praising him in practice over the last few weeks, so its nice that he could showcase some skill during a game. Hope this trend continues with him.
Not at the No. 2 receiver. But No. 3 receiver. Still can be used frequently, and will be in a great position for a second year jump.
I wasn't there, just caught them on tv.Thought it was cool that the veteran would be hanging out with the rookie.Posey couldn't have a better guy to learn from.
I think Posey probably has been doing well in practice, so he's getting his shot. I also think that maybe the coaches really want Martin to just focus on returning kicks right now.
Yes, Kubiak actually mentioned this in his press conference on Monday. He said that Posey had been looking good in practice for a few weeks and earned the playing time.
Dude the title had Mr pumped we really shook things up, but its just another hypothetical. Sad face with tears running down. I agree though posey or Jean should be starting at 2 with Walter slot/3.
bumping this thread again. Posey was actually IIRC STARTING as the 2nd wide receiver on the opposite side of Johnson. Walter was working as the slot receiver. Unfortunately, Posey kinda didn't do anything, but it's a start.
A couple of times when we threw short on 3rd and long, Posey was open at or past the first down marker. He should've been thrown to more than he was.
I agree. I think it is probably a slight chemistry issue, and Posey is the 3rd or 4th read on the play. If anybody is overlooked, it would probably be him. I still think the arrow points upward in his development/contributions.
