If coaching wants Harden & Lin to work, if they want to optimize both players' abilities, if McHale is going to backup what he said about giving Lin the ball more, then tonight's game is the model they need to build on going forward. The ball kept going back to Lin, and he was utilized in the right way. Let him play his game the way he's comfortable playing & excels at playing, which is run the floor and lead the team as combo guard (like he did in the Spurs game), instead of relegating him to passing guard. Harden does not need to be floor leader, being the team superstar, he can play off of Lin and still be very successful. This is the backcourt balance the team needs to be very good in the long run.

hehehe that's the effect jlin has , he can make harden look good too. mind you harden created most of those scores himself. But at least he was well rested and looked strong throughout the game!

If Harden and Lin both play like this everynight, we would make noise in the playoffs. The problem is Lin's inconsistencies, but he is still very young and coming back from injury. I really think he is a special player and needs to be given more time to develop.

It's up to Lin to stay aggressive and look for his shots. Harden's play has been pretty consistent.

Come on, man. Harden's iso's seemed fine. Harden doesn't need to do anything except learn how to defend. Harden is a beast and while a lot of this board is talking about Lin, Harden again put up great production.

A testament to his ability to score that he can land 20-30 points a game and have no one blink an eye.

@cbcsports: Guess who stopped the Knicks' 10-game home winning streak? Former team phenomenon Justin Lin and his Houston Rockets http://t.co/cXFiFpkO

Harden is averaging 26 a game. He's looked good even when Lin hasn't.

i am only now realizing how close knit this team is behind the scenes. If only the team can gel enough this year and make at least an appearance in the playoffs, maybe...just maybe a good solid core unit can emerge from all of Morey's shake-n-bakes. Maybe having all the young guns grow together both on and off the court as they go is a recipe for success? Just a thought. I dont see or hear many other teams' players quite so close in the NBA? Then again, i dont have time to troll all the forums!

Very happy for Lin. Loved his energy tonight. Loved how he and Harden both had good games. Keep reminding myself to be patient with Lin. If he fixes his 3 pt shot and makes quicker, more confident decisions with the ball, he can become very dangerous.

Another exciting Rockets game and contributions from everyone... Kudos to all the players and coaches! I'm glad that the win gives me permission to laugh at those airballs :p
