Carrie : Why do I feel like this? Brody : Cause you gave it up to me HAHAHA Great finale, Great Season! Interesting to see how Saul handles being the HNIC and Dana needs to see a psychiatrist ASAP. Just when you thought brody was out they pull him back in. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/UPw-3e_pzqU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Has me wondering too. Saul knows the Brody terrorist video is old and not related to this particular bombing. Or do terrorist just make generic martyr videos? Who inside the complex moved Brody's car?
I just finished watching last night's episode and wow! What a great season finale. Notable thing that sticks out: The writers want you to believe Saul or Quinn was behind the bombing. I'm going to go out on a limb and say neither of them did it although Saul still looks like he may have something to do with it. I just don't want to believe it. Did he have to attend Nazir's burial? I wonder how long until Brody comes back and who had access to the Brody video? Could be possible copies were made before they found it at that guys home just for insurance purposes. Next season can't get here soon enough.
Do you think the writers even know what's going to happen? Serious question. This season is set up where they could go any which way they want for upcoming season(s). The question is did they just write it with the flexibility of taking the plot anyway they seem fit later given audience reaction? Or is there an overarching plot already written out somewhere for the series? My guess is they haven't actually decided who was behind it. I ask this because we've all already been burned by LOST where they clearly just made up **** as they went and never actually answered any of the mysteries they set up in prior seasons. I don't want it to happen again
One thing that has been bothering me about the video, and I hope it's not a plot-hole, is that Nazir knew that the CIA (or at least someone in there) knew about it, so what did he do? nothing, he might have decided to play along and go with the flow trusting that Brody was going to become an even better asset to him. Is Brody a re-doubled agent? Freaking writers, if they could find a way to make us believe that Carrie or Dana did it, they would surely throw it out there to mislead us.
I'm sure Nazir had copies of the video and once the bombing went through his people put it out there.
I'm not talking about that. I'm referring to Nazir knowing that the CIA got hold of the video thus knowing about Brody, and instead of cutting ties with him, he still counted on Brody even though he knew that the CIA would: a) at the very least, have all eyes on Brody and his contacts, or b) use Brody to get to him (what ended up happening). I do want to believe that Brody was simply set up, but the doubts are in place until next season.
Grantland has done a good job covering the series. Currently listening to this podcast with the executive producer and it turns out to be like a "Behind the Scenes" about the show. Of course he's not going to reveal much but at least he makes some concessions, like tacitly admitting that Galves is not the mole. Homeland Showrunner Alex Gansa on the Season 2 Finale (Here's a direct link to the 55 minute podcast). On the same vein, there's also this: On the Set of Homeland
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too. At first, I thought Saul might be capable of it since I had my suspicions of a mole, but after I finished the finale, they made it seem like they wanted you to think he did it. Awesome, awesome finale though. Can't wait for Season 3.
Remind me how Nazir knew the CIA had the Brody tape. I don't recall how he had any specific knowledge.
