I am having a brain fart or something I am attempting to help a friend recover from some backup disk he made. The back up disks are an image he took several months ago. 1. I am booting from a system boot disk [made on the same disk] [I even tried from within the system.] 2. The backup disk themselves are not bootable. When I browse to the CD I can see the files but When I attempt to recover I cannot locate the files When I do it from the boot disk . . . I click on Other Images and it is not finding them. The only other option are Network Image or load disk drivers [which I suspect I might need to do . . but not sure where those drivers reside. The windows is on the computer so the drivers should be there. Am I missing something? What am I missing? This is a Dell Win 7 64 Bit system. Rocket River
Sounds like you are just a push over as a user. Always trying to find a reason for why technology doesn't work. Maybe you should just toughen up and smack the computer and the disk around a little bit. I'm not saying there AREN'T times where there are legitimate reasons for technology to not work right, but I think too often we just try to be lazy and find a quick solution when the real key is to just be a better user.
