The world was supposed to end back in 1999, party over oops out of time. Remember the whole y2k thing.

 

More worried about this. "Oh its the end of the world, who cares" syndrome. Similar to the whole full moon effect meets end of world effect. Stay safe people.

Also to the nerds with the religious scripture, relax bros, we get it. According to every major religion, the world doesn't end this Friday. Only the Mayan culture believes the world ends Friday, and even that belief is tenuous since it's more a 'transition' then an end. No need to throw your own prophetic two cents in the conceited, "well according to ..... "

PS: The world already ended in May last year and then again in October last year for those of us who weren't sure. If you're still around, you weren't raptured dummies. Welcome to the leftover party.

Yea.. but that is two different things. I do believe in what my religion says about all those things. Its just hard.

Are the Mayans credited with any other predictions ... like maybe the demise of their own civilization ?

 

It is known in many writings that the Aztec counselors saw in the stars the arrival of the Spaniards to the American continent, and that they would over throw their way of life. I am not sure, however, if this also happened in Mayan predictions. They knew how to tell stuff in the stars... they were excellent mathematicians and astronomers.
