How come these 2012'ers can make threads (stupid as this) and I can't make threads myself?

Asik is not the worst PnR center in the league. He's actually pretty good, but you know what? If he was the worst PnR center in the league he would be the perfect fit for a McHale-coached team anyway. I just went back and watched the 1st half again and here were the total number of picks McHale had them set against Calderon, arguably the worst PnR defender in the history of NBA, counting multiple picks set in the same possession as separate picks:

    2.

That's right. 2. On arguably the worst PnR defender in the history of the NBA.

Alright, just for as a reference point, make a wild guess how many picks the Raptors set against Lin?

    23.

    That's right.

Well, didn't have the heart to watch the second half again after that.

he has been third or fourth in the league in rebounding .. that is a special skill considering how weak everyone else is in that category.....listen we knew he was a work in progress in terms of offense but he has contributed well in other areas like defense and rebounding

There aren't any quality scoring centers in the league right now.

In that regard, Omer might actually be average or at worst, close to it.

Having said that, I've never seen a team's fans which hated each other so much.

Agreed, it is so true. Why can't we just learn to agree to disagree.

Because there will always be LOFs that blame Asik/Parsons/McHale/Morey/Harden/Douglas for Lin's lack of success. You gotta love the team and not the person.

It's common knowledge that Asik is still not good at scoring and we need another big who can score at the rim. Royce White might have been slated for the position before he sulked. Asik is a valuable part in the team
Asik is a good 1 on 1 defender, he was the one who shut down Tim Duncan and chase kevin Garnet out of the game. Did you notice that Asik was benched when Garnett went to bench. in the 4q Garnet has just been on the court for few minutes minutes when asik came in and a few minutes later Garnet went to bench again at 3.45. LOL as if Doc Rivers knew that it was a difficult effort for garnet to score when asik was on the game

I like Lin but I don't necessarily agree with all the blames for Lin struggles. Having said that, they are also a lot of LOH that are as bad as LOF.
People need to be patient and be aware that Lin and the whole team except for Harden are a work in progress. Lin needs to work on many things to become a complete player and it will take time. The Roxx are in the rebuilding mode so enjoy the ride in bad or good times. Support the team.

    Thinly veiled Lin thread.

You fellas post enough for the the rest of us to know "screens for Jeremy" is the catchphrase of the day.

You guys have no shame. Your frustration with Lin is understandable, but you'd make less enemies here if you stop lashing out on teammates/coaches/fans when they don't deserve it. Wasn't your first thread suggesting to let Lin come off the bench b/c you don't have the patience to wait for Lin/Harden to figure out how to play well together? You're making the sane Lin fans look bad.

How old are you guys, and did you watch bball before Lin? Serious question, I want to find a reason to not be annoyed so much.

SIGN Varejao to starter, and ASIK for back up, then you get perfect Center

For a more objective assessment of Lin's and the Rockets team's performance up to the last game vs Raptors, especially how we are doing regarding PNR, please go to ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Raptors 11/16/2012, Page 59, to read my post titled "Raptors' Dirty Little Tricks Exposed," you will find out a lot about how the Raptors have been using screens, and where we are compared with them.
