No. I'm making the claim that we shouldn't automatically assume a touchdown when a team is essentially at midfield and gets a completely undeserved 40-yard penalty.
No - if you said you didn't know what would have happened, that's a fair claim. But you made the positive claim that they probably wouldn't have scored in that situation.
The positive claim is that you predicted a particular outcome. It was not a neutral "I don't know what would have happened" claim. You didn't 100% say the outcome, so there for it was "probable".
NO one with the right mind would dare putting them into the same sentence. It's like comparing Royce white to Lebron.
By using the word "think", I made it clear I didn't know. It's my opinion that we shouldn't assume what would've happened if not for such sizable penalties.
Here's what you said: If not for that 38-yard DPI, I don't think they're in this position, so I don't give him full credit for this. You're saying "I don't think they are in this position (being tied)" means you simply didn't know, as opposed to .... well, thinking they wouldn't have been tied?
lol. i've never put schaub on the same level as Brady. but when fans say elite QBs NEVER or ALWAYS do this or do that i just like to point out it even happens to the best of them.
Fascinating. So "I think they would not have scored" means the same as "I think they would have scored" means the same as "I think it's 50/50 that they would have scored". Good to know.
