Jennings is the only good, young point guard who hasn't been locked into a deal yet. The Bucks are scared that they'll lose him in the off-season for nothing, so maybe a sign & trade to team with cap space (like Houston) wouldn't be totally out of the question.

I don't think the Lakers will do that trade because the only person from rockets that Lakers would be interested in is Jeremy Lin since they do not have any quality PGs besides Nash and D'antoni's offense is point guard dependent. After all, Morey has always been chasing Pau and Rockets are in need of a PF, where as Lakers need someone to carry the load especially long term when Nash is retired. Its a win win for both, Rockets get that PF they need so bad and Lin is back with D'antoni with Nash as a mentor.

Would trade Lin, Jones, and Donuts to Utah for Millsap and Mo Williams. Would give us a better chance to win this year, plus give us maximum flexibility in the offseason.

Jeremy would be perfect there and as you say, we'd be setup going forward.

    Lakers: Lin, Favors, Patterson
    Houston: Milsap, Duhon, Bell
    Utah: Gasol, Johnson-Odom

Lakers get depth at pg and at the power forward spot.
Houston gets a great pf, a point guard who can play a Toney Douglas role and an expiring contract.
    Utah gets a star player.

Can we stop it with the Milsap trades ideas? I think most people don't really know much about Paul Milsap. He is not a 1st, 2nd or maybe even a third option. He can get you 15-18 ppg, 6-8 reb, that's it. He's not a superstar, not even an all star.

To be honest, he is not that much better than Patterson, yet he makes alot more than PPat. I'd say Carl Landry is just as good if not better than Milsap.

Acquiring Milsap will not make us any better. It's a lateral move at best.

Interesting. I think Morey could do this. Mo is a much better compliment to Harden as is Millsap and both are expiring contracts as well.

I feel like Patterson has regressed since he suffered an injury during the beginning of his second year. I just dont see the leaping abilily and explosiveness from his rookie year.

He looks a little stiff and unathletic when posting up, it's obivous he has not recovered from his injuries, yet he still averages 13 ppg, 5 reb, compared to Milsap's 15 ppg 8 rebounds.

It's not all about raw stats, Millsap has 2.5x as many Winshares as Pat.

because it's a lot of clicking!

they all seem like winning deals. Like, taking Salmons on = painful, but for the Kings' 1st rounder... heck yes.
I've no idea which ones the other team would or wouldn't do.
Detroit -- this one seems the most doubtful, I doubt anyone would just take Royce White for cap space right now, let alone give prospects.
Utah -- i'd be mad if I was Utah fan, but since the coach doesn't seem to like him, who knows...
Phoenix and Sacramento -- no idea. Both teams seem content treading water and showing token effort to their fans, so i don't know if they are ready to go all-in on clearing their cap and pursuing free agents. But Morey is probably looking hard at these kind of opportunities
