He'll always be undervalued on the board because confuse their hate of Lin not playing with their hate of TD. He can't control Mchale's decisions, he just plays his game. He's solid at what he does, shoot 3's and play D, he gets in trouble when he plays outside his game though.
Agreed. He plays good D and he can knock down the 3. When he's playing his role, it complements Harden perfectly.
I don't really see much similarity there.... Agressive D doesn't mean high BBIQ which Shane has.. Similar: Good D, good guy, clutch 3pt shooting Not so similar: BBIQ, leadership, position, energy levels
This guy was ATROCIOUS in NY, so maybe it is clouding my judgement, but I think we'll need a whole season before we declare him the new Shane Battier.
Lin handles it better, but Douglas is better with the ball in Harden's hands, Douglas is a better 3 point shooter and he moves off the ball better.
Only last season after shoulder surgery. He was pretty decent his first two season. Ideally we need someone how can defend the 1 spot that can catch and shoot playing with Harden. As simple as that sounds, there very few guys in the league that have those 2 skills together. Right now Douglas fits that need.
Yea Toney has been money in December. Definately need to ride the hot hand till Lin learns how to play.
The problem with TD is that he's really a SG in the PG's position. IMHO he's a better fit with Harden than Lin, since Harden likes to handle the ball and have the offence run through him. Lin needs a lot of ball time in order to get going, and thus fits better when Harden is off the floor. Maybe start TD > Lin and have Lin come off the bench?
the world where you wanna learn to close out games... or the world where you wanna feel like coach has confidence in your abilities?
