Of course people who never mastered the wheel and axle or how to make bronze would be able to figure out when the World will end.
I'm counting on my friends in Australia to post something at 12:01 AM 12/21/2012 Australia time letting me know if the world has ended.
Maya not givin us #closure about what happens on Dec. 21 makes me #anxious, what about #transparency? #giveusfacts #anxietytroopers #wordapp
NO. As a Muslim, from the things that I have learned. The day the world will end would be a friday on 10th of Muharram (Islamic Month, Its going to be that month on 21st but not the 10th and its a going to be a friday but again not the 10th) During the evening time.. O Also there are many signs to come for that day such as the Prophet Isa coming back. Dajjal, etc.. If you want to read up on it - Here - Spoiler http://islamiclearningmaterials.com/signs-last-day/ There is more to it but you will have to research for yourself and do study your self. But according to Islam. Not yet.
The Mayan calendar didn't account for leap years, so their prediction would have happened already if it were true. Who still believes this crap?
And I quote "The Gregorian Calendar year has an average length of approximately 365.2425 days. The Gregorian calculation for a year is ((400 * 365) + 100 - 3 = 146,097) / 400 = 365.2425" source
IDK why this didnt paste with it... "The Mayan Calendar year comparison has an average length of approximately 365.2420 days. The Mayan calculation for a solar year is divided by 5,124 year periods which give the calendar the increased accuracy. "
The only reason people assume that the Mayan's predicted the end of the world on the 21st is that they just didn't carry on the calendar after that date. Maybe they just didnt have a big enough wall to write any more years on?
