Seriously? Harden was out and Lin scored 38 but harden doesnt have anything to do with his reduced role? He let Lin run this team when Harden was out, right? Thats evidence.

Its really this simple...SCORE and he will play. He simply needs to be more aggressive with the ball when its in his hands....ITS JUST THAT SIMPLE> these coaches don't care who it is that's scoring, they want to win...it could be the devil scoring and it would be fine with them. They want to keep their jobs

Even though Lowry is gone - his terribly misspelled name lives on!

What about the turnovers? Missed shots? Passing up open shots? "Helping" the post players and leaving 3pt shooters wide open all throughout the season?

It's very easy to selectively cherry pick like that if you want to.

Harden doesn't give any effort on defense and is either 1st or 2nd in the ENTIRE NBA in turnovers.

    What about that?

Lol that's not accurate at all. Douglas was 2-7 for 5 pts and 0 assist all the way until 2:30 in the 4th Q. He wasn't doing anything that was considered as well enough to keep Lin on the bench the entire 4th Q.

Which is exactly what LOFs have been doing in every damn thread...
He scored in X quarter vs Y team, but got benched...
He dished X assists in Y game but got benched...

Did Rubio play elite defense last season? Which stat did you draw your conclusion from, defensive rating, defensive win share?

I am actually curious to learn because I really don't know that much about Rubio. And this is not a Lin vs Rubio comparison either.

    Hei ........

    (1) Lin has a big contract. But this is just a business transaction. Businessman see this as opportunity to earn more than Lin's big contract. Nothing to do with Lin personally. We can blame this is unfair, at the end this businessman just make sound investment decision. Businessman is the real winner in this case. The money will go back to Houston rocket.

    (2) Poor coaching system in Houston Rocket. Their reason to bench Lin does not make sense at all. Poor PR. This hurt player confidence and fan feeling. Stupid decision from long term perspective.

    (3) Everyone is happy with a win. But we know something wrong. Nothing wrong to voice it out.

I think he's talking about the dallas game, 1st quarter.
Lin is 1-2 fg for 4pt 0 turnover before Douglas checked in.

Lin finish with 50% fg for 7pt 3 assists in 18min
Douglas 44.4% fg for 13 pt 3 assists in 35min

The consensus on this board is that Jeremy needs to be more aggressive.

I'm of the opinion that aggressiveness is not his issue. In multiple interviews with coaches and teammates, they all save Lin is a very competitive person. Granted, competitiveness is not the same as aggressiveness, but let's look at why you want Lin to be aggressive. You want him to be more aggressive so that he can score more points.

So why don't we just say that we want Lin to score more.

Points, for better or worst, is the only stat that the seemingly majority of this board care about. The coaches see that TD is a better scorer so TD gets more PT. For a PG, Lin does passing, rebounding and defense well. That apparently is just not good enough to silence the doubters here and possibly on the coaching staff as well.

What Lin really needs to do is be more SELFISH, like TD and Harden. Take more shots per game. Make a conscious effort to take at least 20 shots a game instead of trying to be the floor general all the time. TD and Harden has no trouble with this.

Then all of a sudden Lin will look like a stud because his points are there. His assist might be down, but if we can kill the LOF vs LOH crap that is going on here, that is a strong positive.

    Oh and fun stat:

    Player A: .397 FG% this season (.424% career)
    Player B: .378 FG% this season (.406% career)

    Yup, you didn't guess it!
Player A is Lin, B is Douglas. Funny how as the sample size grows, we start to see career norms.
