Like I said, maybe they valued somebody who could shoot. And Rondo got 15 points - that's already above his average. Unless you're insinuating Rondo was going for 30 that day, it's more likely Rondo just got hot the same time Douglas checked in.

Goran played at a high level for far longer.

They have a horrible team as a whole. Think about it.

Again, Lin played from feb to late march before he got injured.... What's your point? And yes I remember the nightly discussions on ESPN that compared Linsanity with Dragic's breakout performances during that time.

I would totally agree with you if Lin was benched in favor of the more experienced, say Mike Bibby, or even Chris Duhon. But our coach chose Tony Douglas who is not necessarily more experienced and who is not a proven player at "crunch time". That's why we are puzzled here. Plus if Lin was playing terrible, no problem bench him for anybody. But it's not even that: Lin was playing pretty well and TD was not playing better than Lin until the last 3 mins he happened to hit some shots. That's why LOFs are so upset here. It's not about benching per se, it's about the reason and circumstance of the benching (plus it's not the first time, it's the second time Lin was benched when he was playing well!) that has become an issue.

I think Douglas deserved all his minutes. Harden should be sitting out more. He's not even good against real teams.

Are you saying you'd rather play Lin than Harden?

I'd rather see Lin run the offense than Harden hero ball.

I'm pretty sure I said "running the offense", not "Linsanity". As in, take the pick, penetrate the defense, move the ball around, or take the open jumper.

If Harden does that as well, that's fine too. But the "hero ball" I'm referring to is the (numerous) times where he does not, where he takes the ball with 10 seconds left, dribble until 5, and take a contested 3 pointer. What the ****?

Think Goran is great, but his court visions is below average. His shooting makes up for it.

confirmed for never watched Dragic play last year

and Dragic isn't great at shooting either, so you aren't even right on that point

I know Lin had 7 assists at the half which is awsome, but he had 0 assists in the 2nd half and was 2-7 shooting, maybe mchale saw this as did I. I'm a Lin supporter because I like the rockets and I think he can be like goran in terms of production in the future. 16 and 8 seems like his ceiling but that's not bad at all considering goran is getting paid 40 mil to Lins 25 mil.

I'm still trying to understand all the harden hate he's avg. 25 5 and 5 and is the key to all 11 of our wins this yr. harden is playing like a young superstar should, all while he's learning all the ins and outs of being the top dog. Hardens just the superior player/talent on our team and prob has the most potential from the wing position at 23 and under out of anybody in the league. You have to live with the turnovers and the iso ball right now he's 23 ppl. When the game slows down for him he's gonna be scary good like 30 points a night with 6+ 6+.

The rockets as a whole are over achieving right now which is fantastic because that means others have stepped up. (Parsons, asik, Douglas, Morris and smith) your best player is always going to have the ball in his hands the last few mins of close games just like Kobe lebron and durant. That's what the rockets are grooming harden for and he has the potential to get there. The stuff he's doing at the early age of 23 and only 22 games into being the man and starting, he's doing a fantastic job.

This young team needs time to grow together but the future is very bright. We need to let them grow together and I'm talking to the lofs. Jermey Lin was never going to be the franchise player and won't ever be a franchise player if he is your franchise player your team is not going to be very good. With that said he can be a top notch starting pg on a contender but no better than the 4th option. This is just my opinion. Using his 38 point game against the spurs doesn't change anything either we still lost the game. There's plenty of players who drop 38 40 points in game who aren't superstars. It's called a career high and guess what that was Lins career high. I would love to be wrong but just don't see the potential superstar that some ate trying to point out. He's had 3 really good games 7 positive games and the rest he was not very good. This is just the facts Lin has plenty of opportunities throughout the game to make plays for himself just like parsons so why is he being ineffective most of the time. I think it's because he's young no because he's garbage but the rockets mchale harden hate has to stop.

By the way as a rockets fan I feel more comfortable with Douglas playing down the stretch over Lin because harden is the primary ball handler he's the best player on the team and tony can hit the open three, not that he's better player than Lin. It's simple basketball tony did give us the better chance to win down the stretch and its not because Lin played bad just that we needed a win.
