Also, the Tor/OKC game was on NBA.TV fan vote night. That was a chance to showcase Lowry, too bad he had the worst game of this season. Insult to injury, ouch. I'm watching the NBA.com coverage and it's all OKC.
How can Lin attain any efficiency when he is constantly being subbed, instructed to hand the ball off to Harden (and nowadays Parsons and TD), and doesn't get to shoot because his teammates refuse to pass him the ball even wide open? I have a real hard time trying to recall another precedent whereby the team's "true fans" hated on a current player this much contributed by obsession with former players who didn't want to be here.
If I remember correctly its Lin who passes the ball away when he is wide open. If I had to choose right now between Dragic and Lin (Lowry helped us get harden) I would choose Dragic. But for the future I'd rather have Lin
Lin does everything (besides shooting) better than Dragic. defense, rebounds, blocks, steals, pass, court vision.. would take Lin over Dragic even with his shooting slump. he'll get his shooting touch back and it won't even be close
Ok? That's your opinion, and Ill have mine. Right now I'd prefer dragic over Lin, but in the future I'd prefer Lin. And you, being a LOF most likely, would prefer Lin because he is obviously playing better overall
Don't judge them dude, we all know Lin is the best player. He might even be a top 3 PG this season! (they don't say this but they sure do act like it)
No point updating this thread.... you are comparing a current Rocket player with 2 ex's. Almost as bad as those who want Lin to be traded to the Lakers.
What's bad is the die hard LOF that want to trade Lin to the lakers because he will thrive under Mike Dantoni again and will ultimately help the lakers. Funny thing is they complain that Lin's production gets stalled by being with the ballhog Harden, while Kobe is even worse of a ball hog... But yeah no point in updating this, unless it's in the nba dish section
Is everyone posting on this thread 12 years old? You are all mostly comparing apples and oranges. Lowry has been injured most of the season and is the #1 option on a terrible team. A Dragic-Lin comparison in terms of offensive utility would be more fair except it misses the most salient point. This is a rebuilding year with lots of young talent. We paid Lin for what we believe he will be more than what he is. This is true for Asik and Harden as well. Lin's and Asik's contracts mirror this reality. Further Lin is still playing in what would be his first NBA season (given a partial year last season). Lowry was drafted in 2006. Dragic was drafted in 2008, but he played professional basketball in Europe beginning in 2003. To be fair, compare them all during their first seasons. I am a Rockets fan. I have seen talent come and go for many, many years. I really enjoyed watching Lowry and Dragic play as Rockets, and I am enjoying Lin's development as one. In 2-3 years, when this team is competing for a title with a stable of young talent most of you will not remember the foolishness of these rants. But, you should. And to aver Morey to be "an utter failure" because he let Lowry and Dragic go is to ignore the acquisitions of Harden, Lin, Asik, Parsons, Patterson, our stable of PFs, and the acquisitions in the past of Scola, Budinger, and your precious Lowry and Dragic. Let the anger go. This is sport. Families are grieving in Connecticut and people are losing loved ones all over the planet, yet you guys decide to turn this beautiful thing called sport into a petty character assassination. Grow up.
Did you just compare people dying to trolls on a thread? I haven't read all these comments, but I don't see why the topic of people dying/grieving came up
Exactly, we need to cheer for our players instead of those who didn't want to be here and are now on a different team.
Jeremy Lin proving his BBall IQ is on Stromile Swift's level by fouling 90% free throw shooters in the last minute of a close game.
