To the coaching staff's credit, they have brought out the best in Douglas that anyone's seen. If it's all been for a trade showcase, it's working.
Yeah, actually I agree, Mauri ain't no sucker. With Royce's trade value this low I think the rox will probably hold onto him. That being said, I don't know how they're going to boost Royce's value. It's hard to project whether White will be a guy that will become something good or become a unmanageable diva that we should have traded now.
No way anyone will take Royce. After he lambasted the organization through the social network, no sane GM would even include him as a filler. Methinks the Rox will invest in him this year to prepare for next year, build up his trade value, then make a decision thereafter. Think of him as a stashed 1st round pick
If the draft were today knowing what people know about White, even if the draft was 4 rounds, he would go undrafted I think.
it doesn't mean free agents signings are going to be the ones traded. now teams will know all trade possibilities before making decisions. i actually think the timing of sending t-jones and d-mo to the d-league yesterday was an attempt to elevate the trade value of 2pat and morris.
Don't worry. We have Morey here. All it takes is to get one GM to overpay for Lin or anyone on the roster and he'll be gone. Or if Morey feels like Lin is not part of the future and feels he can't get value for him, he will just shred his contract for an expiring.
They trade for PPat, Douglas, and Cook for Milsap,Bell as suggested before deadline, but they do it as part of a three team trade. Bell with Aldrich, Morris, Jones, and White are sent for Eric Gordon (Gordon is just included since he is on a max contract of 13.7 million and not for the Rockets being interested). There you have it, the Rockets get Max Contract Gordon and Milsap before deadline and barely under salary cap. At end of year, Milsap becomes free agent and Rockets go over cap with bird rights to resign him to max. I am just using Gordon as a salary to show Rockets could get two max or near max contracts at deadline versus waiting until free agency. Rockets also have MLE since the cap hold put Rockets over the cap. So basically by trading for Milsap in the suggested scenario, the Rockets could get another max contract player and an MLE player next year for the cost of PPat, White, Morris, and Jones. All the other players traded would be lost to clear cap room for Milsap. The Rockets also don't have to relinquish rights to Delfino.
You haven't seen TD playing in New York, he's doing what he's been doing, streaking shooter, horrible PG.
