I just really think that was Morey's thinking. I have little doubt Morey knew Lillard's full potential. I also think Drummond was his target if we could had acquired Toronto's 8th pick. It's amazing how realistic getting Lillard and Drummond was. What a haul that would have been. We never have the best of luck on draft night, though.

Rookie of the Year, so far. He's playing like an elite point guard. Off Topic, Jrue Holiday has been playing like an elite point guard as well.

He reminds me of Billups the way he plays and how he presents himself on the court...

He's been great. But he's got to be careful with the way he plays. He may shorten his career with the pace he plays at and by going to the basket so much.

I'm hoping he does well for the Blazers. God knows they deserve some healthy guys for a change.

Also, I'm a big LaMarcus fan...wish we could get him. That would be amazing to pair him up with Harden. We'd have the perfect mix of talent and roleplayers in our starting 5.

Omer would complement him well, and let's face it, Lin is becoming more of a role player to Harden and Chandler.

This. Jrue doesn't get the props he deserves, either.

Lillard is a good player but I doubt he will ever make the same impact as say.... Durant or Jordan so.... yeah..

Irving would be my best guess...well a 100% healthy Stephen Curry would actually be the best comparison, both are deadly shooters.

WB is not a good comparison because he doesn't have WB's athleticism and size. On the plus size, he also doesn't seem to have WB's broken jumper and complex to prove himself better than Durant lol.

Problem is, he said "hi" in street clothes on the bench.

    Didn't say anything about HOF.

I'm pointing out that the Blazers missed out on game changing players like Durant or Jordan.

Other than that, they have been solid drafting players like Roy or Aldridge and Liliard aka. "franchise" players.

Roy was no Jordan or Durant but he was a franchise player

Way too early to tell on Lillard.

Jordan was a game-changer, before him the league was all about big men, he turned it into a small man's game.

KD doesn't deserve that title, he hasn't impacted the league in any meaningful way. He's turning out to be one of the best players in history but so far I don't think he's made any mark on the NBA yet. All the stuff he's been doing has been done by others, unless he goes Lebron 2.0 and averages something ridiculous I don't think you can call him a game changer.
