He has said he is pro gay marriage before.... and then consistently voted for a party and politicians that were against equal rights for gays... so kind of hard for him to take the high ground. Kind of like a Southerner 50 years ago saying they wanted equal rights for blacks and then voted for Strom Thurmond.
Live and let live. You're not going to stop homosexuality by banning marriage. It seems like the hardcore conservatives that are the loudest against gay marriage eventually come out as homosexuals. I don't have any gay friends (that I know of), but if I did, I would hope that they could marry whomever they wanted and live out the same life we all dream of. What's the point of holding people back? Oh right, that's part of the Republican agenda.
Nothing like a terrible tragedy to bring us together in expressing hate for people who disagree with us.
