When routine bites hard, And ambitions are low. And resentment rides high, But emotions won't grow. And we're changing our ways, Taking different roads. Love, love will tear us apart again. Love, love will tear us apart again. Why is the bedroom so cold? Turned away on your side. Is my timing that flawed? Our respect run so dry? Yet there's still this appeal, That we've kept through our lives. Love, love will tear us apart again. Love, love will tear us apart again. Do you cry out in your sleep? All my failings exposed... Gets a taste in my mouth As desperation takes hold. Why is it something so good Just can't function no more? Love, love will tear us apart again. Love, love will tear us apart again. Love, love will tear us apart again. Love, love will tear up apart again. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/qHYOXyy1ToI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
If the rockets play their cards right, they will have a shot at him after next season. No way wolves trade him this season or next, but that offseason heading into his final year is gonna be a summer.
Two straight poor shooting nights for Kevin Love since making his comments. He also has a thumb injury that Wolves (I'm being very generous when I call them) fans have accused him of faking. Is Kevin Love obtainable THIS season? Not for the Rockets, but...for anybody?
PatPat, Terrence Jones, Royce White, and Scott Machado for Kevin Love. Minnesota would be crazy to turn this down.
They were crazy not to lock him up for an extra year, and buy themselves extra time to build a playoff team. Let's not act like this is a quality organization that knows how to treat their best players. Craziness abounds.
The Rockets could trade any 3 starters besides Harden and I still don't think that's enough to budge Kevin Love. He is outside of Houston's price range. That's why I say...could *any* team trade for him right now? Is it possible?
The problem being that those picks are typically owned by lousy teams Love wouldn't want to play for, and then the very act of trading Love to those teams makes them better and so diminishes the value of their own picks. The Harden situation was different in that we had a borderline playoff team in Houston who owned the pick belonging to an Eastern Conference bottom-feeder in Toronto. So if those two things are severable, and Love could be flipped for somebody else's high draft pick, then maybe it's possible. My bet would be on the Bulls assembling a package based around Charlotte's 2013 top 12 protected first round pick, which they own.
I think it's possible that we have enough. I just don't think Minnesota will move Love this year. They're simply not going to get enough in return in any trade. But if we were to make an offer, I think Asik, Parsons, and either DMo or Jones(whoever they like more) would be the centerpieces. Then it's just a matter of piling on enough 1st round picks. Minnesota doesn't really have albatross contracts, so there's a minus there.
I agree that they won't trade him this season. But if they don't make the playoffs again, things may drastically change.
I can't believe Minnesota thought they would be able to satisfy Love's concerns about competitiveness with a nearly 32-year old AK47's last great season, Chase Budinger, and then Brandon Roy's corpse. Love has legitimate beef.
That would be really disturbing. I like Rubio, but at this point he's nowhere near being a max player.
Patterson, parsons, tjones, white, dmo For Love, kirilenko I think they would love to exchange parsons/kirilenko. Asik Love Kirilenko Harden Lin Let's go
It's also possible that with Rubio returning tonight, the Wolves get hot again and all this extracurricular Kevin Love talk is quickly forgotten. Until two years from now I guess.
With all the friction in Minnesota between Love and the organization and certain players it is highly likely they would consider trading Love and even more so if he is demanding to be traded. And the wolves may not be looking for a super star player in return because they may not want the contract. They may just want a good young starter and multiple draft pics. The Rockets would have to get a third team involved to try to get something together... But I don't see that happening. The Rockets front court is just fine specially with Smith playing like a beast off the bench. What the Rockets need is a guard to pair up with Harden. Ben Gordan, Kyle Korver _ a spot up shooter because Harden is basically running the point. Wouldn't probably have to trade much at all for Gordon and he's a better spot up shooter than any player the Rockets have on the roaster.
