OK I am going to get owned by LOH for this. I am no basketball guru. I had my doubts about Jlin, but after watching and cheering along during the Spurs Rockets game. I feel the coaches have been too harsh on his kid. Can they stop punishing jlin (benching) when he gets a bad 1st quarter?
I'm a HUGE fan of Lin but even I have to agree this is not a very useful thread. Not saying coaches always make the right/smartest decisions, but this rumor about coaches not liking Lin is unfounded and ridiculous. Lin's benched not as a "punishment" but because the Lin/Harden combo hasn't really been working (stats show that they are repeatedly outscored by the opponents when both are on the court together). At this time, the TD/Harden combo is much more effective than the Lin/Harden combo (partly because TD has been shooting well lately and therefore creates spacing, partly because he doesn't need the ball to be effective). It's going to take time for them to figure out the best way to utilize Harden & Lin; until then, just have some patience and faith that it'll work out.
