Mexico has eliminated guns? No they haven't or even come close. Only an ******* would argue that we should have the same expectaiton of a kindergarten classroom in Connecticut and the streets of Juarez.

how is it possible for a citizen to get their hands on a weapon that shoots over 100 rounds and kills so many.

All we need now is someone to trot out the "If only the Kindergartners could have been carrying concealed handguns, this could have been prevented." argument.

 

If there really were two shooters, and one is already dead, then that still leaves one.

I am thinking the 'good old days' of public execution, perhaps by vivisection, in HD, might be enough to make some of these homicidal maniacs rethink their 'take as many with me as I can' method of suicide..

Yes I am angry. I empathize with every one of the parents and family and friends of someone who was cruelly hurt or killed by this act, but really by all such acts, and we as a society just keep on letting it happen.

And I completely understand the impulse to begin to assign 'blame', and it is completely understandable that some people cannot resist the urge to blame the weapons, and to urge 'controls', as though that would have somehow prevented the tragedy.

But to me, these things are merely symptoms of a much deeper problem, and treating symptoms does nothing at all to eradicate the underlying problems.

Sadly, clear and cool heads are what's most needed in times like these, and clear cool heads are in shortest supply when this sort of thing happens, and again, completely understandably so.

What a messed up world we live in man? How do these things even happen in the first place? It sickens me.

 

If ignorance means not wanting to wake up in a world where 20 children are gunned down then so be it.

Now I have to go pick up my 10 year old and explain to him why we live in a country where he could easily be the next victim of a school shooting.

Singing songs and holding hands in agreement about how much this sucks isn't going to save anybody's life, or bring anybody back to life, for that matter.

Having a real discussion about how to prevent these kind of things actually does contribute to that end, even if some people are jerks in the process.

 

i didn't want to debate about this but yea someone who wants to commit a massacre like this would obey the law and only get guns if they were legal.

so sad, and my prayers to the victims. RIP
