[BREAKING] School Shooting in Conn. at Elementary School

Absolutely terrible. I feel bad when any innocents are killed but it makes it more difficult hearing children were victims.

 

So it's not a tragedy that 22 Chinese kids were attacked at school either? That happened today as well, so it is completely relevant.

The problem with these shootings is the anti-gun folks come out and blast guns, and the pro-fun folks come out and shout to defend their right to guns. In the mean time, we all ignore the real issue which is mental illness in our society.

If I posted articles about other mass shootings, I'd expect people to tell me to shut up as well.

Actually you're the opposite of a realist because you're willing to say as many noxiously stupid things as you are in support of the ideal of the 2nd amendment garbage (throwing the 1st under the bus in the process) as you can despite their disconnect from reality.

if you were a realist, you'd realize that eliminating guns reduces the amount of people killed by guns under any equation.

The fact that it doesn't reduce other kinds of deaths is irrelevant, just like having a malignant tumor removed doesn't mean you won't die of heart disease or alzheimers or a car accident.

But if you can't see it, you're simply not being a rational individual - unsurprising, given you're dry-humping the "thread douchebag" role with furious relish in what many consider to be very poor taste.

Showing that kids were attacked at a school in China as well is relevant (especially since it happened today), if you like it or not. Several pages earlier people were saying "Oh, Connecticut is so nice..." It can happen anywhere, that's the point.
