I'm not going to go too far into it, but you can't just completely ignore the fact that legal access to guns isn't part of the problem. If there was strict gun control where access wasn't as easy as just picking it up at a store, the scale of the damage these mentally deranged murderers would have caused would have been much smaller. If you think legal access to guns isn't part of the problem then you're so so so so wrong.

Nancy Grace and others who turn this in to a mine-sweeps week with 24/7 coverage are more to blame for this... and most clinical psychologists would agree.

Hold your loved ones tight when you see them. Everyday. My heart and prayers go out to the families and loved ones that were involved. :(

    This is so sad.

Could very easily have been bombs and explosives instead.

Words can't even describe. I'm just removing myself from this thread now.

Screw all you heartless people who'd like to cling to your guns. Look around the world. Other countries don't have this problem.

I'm out, because I can't take reading the stupidity.

What a nonsensical thing to do. Terrible to hear this. Young or old, no one is truly safe. :(

I'm worried if there will be more copycats in wake of the media coverage. Too many elementary schools in the country. I can't understand how it must feel for those of y'all with children.

Damn don't see how anyone could be in a state of mind to do something like this.

Feel for those parents that dropped their kids off for the last time ever because of some idiot

Im all about having your weapon...but im now more pro screening for mental illness...for this social f.ck...to murder innocent children...he deserves to burn in hell...

Every person that is getting a weapon must be screened by a psychiatrist to check for mental stability...this is ridiculous...

Or home made gas, or bolting the doors and catching the building on fire, or any other form of violence. Blaming the guns doesn't fix the issue. Society is the problem because we fixate on this stuff. The video I liked earlier showed that when there is one mass shooting and it is heavily covered in the media you can expect to see 1-2 more in a week. Well, here we are a week after the mall shooting...

Don't think he has to. People can come on this thread and say f*** you rednecks and your guns, and Svpernaut can't express his own thoughts?

If people want to keep bringing up the gun control political side of this issue Svpernaut can certainly express his opinion.

Sorry if it's been asked. But, how many shooters were there and were they captured, killed, suicide or got away?

People are going to vent their frustrations and sadness.

That's an understandable thing to do.

Trying to start a pissing contest is not part of the coping process.

I'm not heartless, I'm a realist. If a guy is crazy enough to kill innocent kids in mass, he is crazy enough to obtain weapons illegally or doing it by other means. The weapons he used is not the issue, why he did it is the problem we need to solve.

Two total from what I can tell. One is dead. There has not been any update on the second.
