How about you face the fact that you're a terrible poster and this thread was not necessary, nor did you add any insight into the point you brought up.

Knicks are better b/c D'antoni was fired. Simple as that.

Nothing to do with Lin really. Kidd is phenomenal right now and Prigioni is a better backup than Felton. Melo is having the season of his career. Amar'e isn't playing either. So all these things add up and they are a very good team now.

Imagine Dwight Howard were in Knicks, the combo of DH + Melo would be scary.

Knicks were good on paper last year. They just didn't have it last season. Now they are jelling. IMHO, Felton is indeed better than Lin at this stage of the career.
But, simply saying the team is better after one player leaves is ridiculous. The system > player. Knicks worked hard this summer. Felton worked really hard, so did Melo, Chandler, and Novak. Adding veterans like Kidd were also good moves from the front office. There are too many factors that made Knicks a much better team this season than last. If Knicks were to have Lin still, they would've been good as well because of those factors.

Melo's playing out of his mind right now, and they added a bunch of veterans (Kidd's presence has been huge for the Knicks so far). It'll be interesting to see how Amare can fit in when he returns.

Also Woodson is a much better coach than D'Antoni.

Knicks are scary without Howard. Are you not paying attention. Tyson Chandler is better for Melo than Howard is...fool.

Chandler has the ring ... not Howard.

With Mike Woodson as head coach,

    With Lin: 6-1
    Without Lin last year: 12-5
    Without Lin this year: 16-5

So all else equal, as in D'Antoni the idiot not factored into the equation, the Knicks were better with Lin.

I agree with what you said, partially. Looks like Howard couldn't co-exist well with Kobe - but I blame Kobe, esp if you think about Kobe-Shaq story. But Howard + Melo, I am not sure.

but if the knicks were in the west, would they be that good now, i doubt, put them in the SW division, let them play spurs and memphis 4 times each a season, that's 4 garanteed loss.... i think

Theorize all you want, but the Knicks are 2-0 against the Heat while the Spurs are afraid to play the Heat so send their starters home ... p*****s.

There is no way Melo would duck Lebron like Ginobody did, no matter who his coach was. That's just a fact.

    Amare and Carmelo cannot coexist.

Amare is going to come off the bench, because Melo is their starting PF right now.

It's funny coz Mike Woodson was D'Antoni's staff last year....Knicks could've done so much more and had a year's head start towards a champ.
