According to a recent NBC/WSJ poll for the first time a majority of Americans now support Gay Marriage. http://firstread.nbcnews.com/_news/...oes-off-the-image-cliff?lite&ocid=msnhp&pos=1 [rquoter]*** Majority supports gay marriage: Finally, an historical note: For the first time ever in the NBC/WSJ poll, a majority of respondents -- 51% -- support same-sex marriage. That percentage in support is up from 30% in 2004, 41% in 2009 and 49% in March 2012, demonstrating how quickly public opinion on this issue has changed in just eight years.[/rquoter]
Progress. The generation after us are going to look upon barring gay marriage with shame, much like we do with the anti-civil rights movement.
The funny thing is that most liberals push this only because conservatives are against it......... (or they are all gay )
You and Giddy should start a business where you just make outrageous statements and rely on your gut or what someone else told you.
Darling though you're twice my size I don't mean to patronize Honey, let me lead you by the hand Find a lap or find a chair You can park it anywhere Just don't rest your cheeks against my man
Cute.... "Sixty-five percent of Democrats support marriage equality, as will the party’s 2012 national platform. But only 24 percent of Republicans feel that same-sex couples should be allowed to wed." http://blog.seattlepi.com/seattlepo...riage-rising-support-little-with-republicans/ What is it like to be on the wrong side of history AGAIN?
Or... they realize there are better things to do with one's time and energy than fight against other people being happy? Yeah, I think that satisfies Occam's razor. But yeah, the only reason to "push" equality is if there is an organized opposition to equality. Duh. It's like, if I save an old lady when you were about to run over her, you'd say, "you just saved her because a conservative was driving the car!" And I say, "No, I saved her, because she's a human being, and some idiot was trying to run her down." Didn't even see what the driver looked like, until he pulled over and expressed pride in his senseless, disrespectful, no-talent driving. (And hint, your post is that last part in the analogy -- congrats.)
Not an issue that I really care about, but I suppose I feel they should have their rights if I really have to make a decision on this issue.
