Oh my god. Air pollution levels are out of control as well. Have you seen all the cars on the road lately? I play it smart and sit on my computer eating chef boyardee in my free time. Human interaction is also beneath me as aerial germs are the #1 cause of the sniffles and most ppl don't practice safe hygiene like washing their hands a minimum of 19 times a day. It's a matter of health, and my body is a temple.
Ok first of all don't listen to most people on this thread. First of all hookah is bad for you but nowhere near bad as cigarettes due to about a million less chemicals and that usually you're sharing a session with 2 other people. I've read three studies on hookah and when reading the conclusion that a 60 minute session of hookah was equal to 46 minutes I was shocked. Now here's the catch 2 out of these 3 studies used smoke volume as their variable to compare to cigarettes which is absolutely stupid because hookah is known to produce far more volumes of smoke than cigarettes and second you're not really supposed to inhale hookah like you are with cigarettes just take long drags and let go. Ok now that thats out of the way here's some suggestions for the best hookah you will ever have. Best tobacco brand by far is Starbuzz and I've tried almost every brand including crappy Ed hardy. If you want my recommendation on something great from Starbuzz it's blue mist and mixing any flavor with mint is great due to then coolness you get from the mint flavor. If you're going for a more regular flavor always go with double apple. If you're making your own hookah you don't need 2 pieces of foil on top and make sure you don't overfill or overpack your tobacco. Putting around 7-8 ice cubes in the base with the water is also great for cooling down the smoke. Anyway I would suggest going out with some of our friends and trying it out before you decide to buy your own.
It's a social thing. I've been smoking hookah since I started going out in Hong Kong when I was 15 or 16. Of course at first I also believed that smoking hookah is harmless to the body because it's filtered and all that stuff, but the amount you smoke in one session is equivalent to smoking more than just a couple of cigs (I'm too lazy to find a source but it makes sense). You might get a nicotine buzz if you take in a lot, it goes away after a while but the most important thing about hookah is that it's a social thing that you do with friends. We usually go to our hookah bar in Hong Kong to meet up, smoke some hookah and pre-game before going clubbing. I used to smoke a lot in college too but now I just smoke up. Hookah is my smoking substitute back in Asia where weed is more expensive and much worse in quality.
My roommates and I had a hookah during college and we would smoke a pound of grass out of it. It had like 5 lines. Yeah. We would all chill and play Xbox while everyone had a line. This way, there were no embarrassing rotation fails. Party foul, brah.
It's not even supposed to. By the way smoking weed out of a hookah can damage the insides of the hookah pretty badly, so if you do smoke weed out of it you might want to clean it after you're done (most of the time you clean after a hookah session anyway).
We would always clean our pipes and bongs regularly. You don't want to taste tar when you smoke weed. Later on we just went ahead and went with a volcano vaporizer with the bags.
I've never smoked in my life and don't plan to. All my friends smoke hookah though. Not my thing. They always pressure me to do it though. Smells good nonetheless.
Dandanah on Westheimer and Fountainview is da bomb. Try ordering an orange head instead of the traditional hookah, they got great food too.
Seeing this thread in the thread list, I was gonna come in here and "Where do I find smoking hookers?". But then I saw who made the thread. I don't remember making this thread at all.
I started doing it in college; it's alright. My roommate's really into it and smokes his personal one at least once a day. I personally prefer just chilling in the lounge, especially at the one I go to because it has really good Egyptian food.
