remember last year? lost last 3 games, including losses against the panthers and colts, and they rested the starters in the last game so they didnt had any momentum, and the texans still crushed the bengals. and dont you think Texans have a better team chemistry than the Broncos?
Not sure if it's been mentioned in this thread or not, but last night's curb-stomping by the Patriots doesn't really hurt us too much in the standings. Especially those of us pulling for Brady and Manning to play each other as the 2 and 3 seeds respectively (assuming we're still the 1 seed). If we win that game last night, there's a better chance of the Pats falling to #4 and having to play them BEFORE the AFC Championship game. Do not want.
So this week we take care of the Colts and we want the Broncos to defeat the troubled Ravens. Also I think we wrap up home field if we beat the Colts and the 49ers beat Pats. GO Broncos and 49ers!!!
We can't clinch this weekend. Even if 49ers beat Pats, they'd still be two games back of us with two to play and they have the tiebreaker. Texans would still need to beat the Vikings.
Yup. That be an ideal situation, not that it guarantees anything, but the playoff matchups would make me feel much better if it's: Houston Denver New England Bal/Pitt/Cincy Indy Bal/Pitt/Cincy
Part of me is going to be really, really irritated if a greenhorn option QB goes into Foxboro and beats the Pats directly after our supposed high-powered offense couldn't even muster first downs. However, that part of me will be quickly beaten down by the other part that's celebrating the fact that the Texans would be one game closer to clinching the AFC's top seed. This is, of course, assuming we win on Sunday. If we don't, then you can fully expect me to be on the 10 o'clock news as the guy who got arrested for trying to tear down Reliant Stadium one brick at a time.
Unless I'm doing it wrong, I think the Colts clinch the No. 5 seed next week if they beat Kansas City (getting themselves to 10 wins). http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/playoffscenario I played around with the various scenarios, and even if PIT or CIN get to 10 wins, it seems the Colts have the tiebreaker over both no matter what. If that's the case, the Colts will have ZERO to play for in Week 17 - they can't make their seeding any better or worse. Am I missing anything?
I see another 3 way tie happening in the AFC North: everyone with 9-7 records with Steelers and Baltimore getting in because of division records... The way I see it happening is that: 1. Houston(If Houston finishes strong 2-0) 2. NE 3. Denver 4. Steelers 5. Colts 6. Ravens If Houston doesnt take care of Business: 1. NE 2. Denver 3. Houston(loose both games0-2) 4. Steelers 5. Colts 6. Ravens Bottom line we still have 2 playoff bound/fighting teams on our schedule...AP is playing out of his mind...and we still have to play in INDY...hopefully that can be our last road game this season... Go TEXANS
We all need to root of the the Niners tonight...huge game... if the Pats loose tonight...we can for sure be ok with one more loss for the season and stil have the number one seed...Niners have the team that can do it...
