Counterexamples, Warriors with just one star, Rick Barry, Portland Trailblazers with one star, Bill Walton , Seattle Supersonics with just one star, Jack Sigma, Houston Rockets with their first championship (minus drexler), Hakeem Olajuwon, Washington Bullets (I don't even know who's on there). There have it. By the way, Rick Barry was an awesome passer, made everyone better.
Well, Pistons sucked. Knicks game, some strange reason, everyone was shooting well. I honestly don't think Parsons can shoot like that forever. If he was, then he'd be a 16 million dollar a year player.
wow, let's not turn this into harden v lin. SMDH. We need BOTH playing well together for this team to even have a chance at making the playoffs. This site really is getting out of control.
toronto and utah game. even the lakers game had 6 guys in double figures. your post was ignorant and not factual. plenty of true statements to make to back up lins game, don't bring the nonsense as facts.
Yea. Do I know my sports or do I know my sports? If you really want a go at me, you better get your sports almanac ready. By the way, I told you already, Jerry Rice, Bill Romanowski, and John Taylor was NOT in the first 2 superbowls. Did you see the Catch? That guy that made the catch doesn't look like Rice or Taylor to me.
Woo that's some old school stuff. Just look at the past decade or so. It's like only the Pistons and Mavs. Both had a lot of solid role players and Mavs had Dirk.
Or how about the Dallas game when Lin sat in the fourth? Or how about the Portland game when we actually had it, but they sat Lin out in OT? At this point, you can cherry pick the games that showed Harden was good because Lin was not allowed to play. but the coaches allowed harden to have carte blanche, whereas Lin was on a short leash. We only have one game that Linsanity is back, but I sure saw a lot of smiles from everyone. Not only that, the last spurs game, when Harden did well, what happened? Spurs were up 20+ points, no chance of coming back. What happens when Lin does well here? We were winning, until Mcfail decided not to call time out in the Spurs 11-0 run.
Alright, you just proved my argument then. I added 1 more on your list, Houston Rockets with Olajuwon, and you added 2, Dallas and Detroit. No superstars except Dirk. I was shocked when Pistons beat LA, a star studded team with a bunch of nobody.
I think it's wonderful that Jeremy is fulfilling his contract obligation of making his teammates happy.
Isn't he the top assist guy on the team? What about the stats that don't show up on the stat sheet, like all the players going after loose balls? I saw a whole lot of that when Lin was on the Knicks and the Houston game against the Spurs. I saw a lot of red jerseys going after Duncan's rebound too.
Not really, overall I'm sure the percentage of teams with stars account for a majority of the championships and the ones that don't have a good amount of borderline stars. Lin making players like Novak and Douglas play better practically has no chance of winning a championship.
We'll see. I don't think those players would either. But certainly, at least a first round playoff, maybe even into the second round. That would bring the Rockets value up. BTW, if you haven't noticed, as of this moment, Kobe Bryant is 1-10 in games where he scores 30 or more points. This superstar mentality has to die down a bit. Sure, Rockets lost to Spurs twice this season. But the one where Lin was playing, we had a chance to win, whereas the one where Harden was touching the ball, we had absolutely NO chance. We were down 20 points, wasn't even close.
Dude chill out. Harden does great finding open teammates too. The problem is he sometimes couldn't get the timing right because he usually passes after he's sure he couldn't a shot off. Can't blame him because he's the best scorer. From the way I see him play, he really doesn't mind to defer if there's a higher percentage shot. Lin does get teammates involved because he doesn't run half court offense like Harden do. Coach really need make some adjustment though. Either use Lin as a pg and harden a primary sf/sg, or make Lin 6th man.
It was a home game vs away game and Spurs might of played down to their opponents level knowing Harden was out, etc. Lin needs to show consistency first to even think he can win more games compared to a Harden-led team. But if Lin was putting that type of numbers up, he would be considered a star and teams would adjust to focus on stopping him.

Harden is the franchise player he can do what he likes. lso in the big games he had, he averaged 9 assists over those games. 9 assists while scoring 33, 45, 37, and 39. 9 assists.
