Rush, Public Enemy, Heart, Randy Newman, Donna Summer and Albert King Congrats to all inductees! Congrats to Rush (finally)!
Hate Rush but will accept they are Hall of Fame worthy but think without Kiss or Thin Lizzy in is a damn shame.

Rush should decline, and start a hall of fame for halls of fame, where various halls of fame are inducted or not, and then not induct the R&RHoF. Seriously, a hall of fame for Rock is kind of a weird concept to me.
Randy Newman? This guy? <iframe width="480" height="300" src="http://www.220.ro/embi/O4pfCdxLrx" frameborder="0"></iframe><br>Vezi mai multe din <a href="http://www.220.ro/desene-animate/" target="_blank">Desene animate</a> pe <a href="http://www.220.ro" target="_blank">220.ro</a>
It will be interesting to see the inductees 10-20 years from now. There was a point where "good music" and popularity became almost mutually exclusive, especially in regards to rock music. Will be curious to see how the HoF reconciles that. And I like Public Enemy, but are they considered rock and roll because they featured guitar in a lot of their samples, or can pretty much any genre get in?
24 years ago, P.E. fight the power. 24 years later, they beat the power. I also like their "Bring The Noise" with Anthrax.
I think it's worth noting the possible distinction between the Rock genre and Rock and Roll as a catch-all for all non-country pop music.
Good to hear about Rush being inducted. This should pave the way for King Crimson (who were the best live rock act around from 72-74). And Yes.
When I first listened to Sail Away I thought it was a good record. I have been listening to it a lot this past year and only now do I realize the simplicity of the music kept me from seeing how great this album really is. There are no bad songs on Sail Away. One of the few albums that I can listen all the way through without skipping a song or hoping that the one bad song would hurry up and end. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/K8p08flcFLo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Meanwhile Kiss, Deep Purple, Journey, Foreigner,Judas Priest and countless other deserving acts are not in.
